The restaurant is nice inside, the owner was very polite and the staff seemed decent although a little inexperienced (new restaurant). The service was ok took a little longer to get my take out order than expected but that's fine it happens. I feel like this restaurants Has no identity (or has an identity crisis) they have Korean food, Thai food, Vietnamese food, Japanese food, Chinese food, and Western food. Restaurants like this don't do anything particularly well in my experience but I decided to give it a try because they had Bánh Mì ( A Vietnamese sandwich) on the menu I love Bánh Mì. The sandwich was ok but it was not particularly traditional the veggies were fresh, the pickled veggies were fine, the sauce was definitely geared towards the Western pallet, the meat was basically Korean style bulgogi meat not exactly traditional Vietnamese but the flavor was ok and it tasted fresh, the bun was wrong Bánh mì is supposed to be made with a baguette (Vietnamese style or French baguette) they used a hoagie bun/Italian style roll. The sandwich was a decent price for what it is at 15$ all of their Price's seemed reasonable for the most part.
They also have Korean ramen (Korean ramyeon is instant noodles it's not like fresh Japanese ramen) I ordered just the basic soup to get a sense of what they are offering (12$ base price) .Tastes like a common Korean instant ramen brand you can buy at every grocery store in Canada. The portion was exactly one package of ramen. The broth is just the instant broth from the package nothing special no improvements to it (it was a bit watery). it comes with a few Korean rice cakes added in. Then you have the option to add other basic ingredients like eggs, veggies, and protein for an additional charge (2-5$ per addition). You can make this at home for a 3rd of the price and add whatever you want.

Read moreI am a self-proclaimed 'foodie' to the extent I schedule my trips around restaurants and have been known to drive to different cities to frequent good restaurants. For the past few years, I have found Kamloops to lack in quality Asian restaurants. As someone who spent time living in the GTA with endless options, the few Asian restaurant names in Kamloops that are brought up in conversation just do not do it for my taste buds. With Pantastic Grill, that has changed, and I am excited we now have a delicious option available to appease my unapologetically high standards. I have been to Pantastic Grill on multiple occasions, and it never fails to disappoint. They have a wide range of different menu options. My favourite dish would be Japchae, and their garlic bread is dangerously addictive. The customer service is excellent, too. The couple who own the restaurant greet me as if they were my best friends. I thought it was just because I frequented the restaurant, but this evening I realized they are just genuinely friendly, welcoming people. I definitely recommend trying out Pantastic Grill as the food is genuinely some of the best Asian...
Read moreOliver and I were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was at Pantastic Grill. I usually expect kids’ popcorn chicken to be mostly batter with a dried-out bit of chicken in the middle, but these in-house beauties were the opposite—lightly battered, perfectly cooked, and probably made from chicken breast. Oliver loved the fries too, which is a big deal since he’s super picky. Always a win when we find a new spot with something he’s excited to eat. I had the Thai red curry seafood and was impressed by the generous portion of seafood in a classic, flavourful sauce. We were also treated to complimentary egg rolls with pickled vegetables, both of which were delicious. The space is clean, the bathrooms were well looked after, and while the decor still feels like it’s finding its vibe, I’d have no hesitation recommending the place based on food and overall experience. We’ll...
