The Raj Indian Kitchen — Restaurant in Kamloops

I haven’t been to an Indian restaurant in a long while and the last restaurant I went to was a buffet style restaurant - where I found the dishes to be Luke warm at best.

For me the sign of a good restaurant is that the food comes out piping hot and on this note the Raj Indian Kitchen delivered in spades - I was so happy

I ordered two dishes and some garlic Naan - I was asked what level of spice I wanted - from 1-5 (initially I said 7) so I took a 4

The food had a great kick and was delicious. I thought I was a big eater but I had to pack for the next day and it was equally exquisite

So I have moved on to another city and am looking for supper but I remembered my excellent experience in Kamloops and felt compelled to write.

Great food but portion sizes are smaller than before. This is our favourite Indian restaurant the food is always great. I have noticed the portion sizes have become a lot smaller and the amount of meat in the dishes is a lot less than before which was a bit disappointing . The staff is amazing and very helpful they only do take out and because we ordered so much food the man working walked me to my vehicle and helped me carry our food across the street to my car. This is the first time I have ever had someone be kind enough to help me bring my food to my car. This would have been a 5 star review if the portions were a bit bigger. Will DEFINITELY be back! Amazingly good food. We had the Jhinga Masala and Butter Chicken, and I had chai and garlic naan, my husband had mango lassi. My husband has Celiac disease and they were happy to accommodate, letting us know the things that were gluten free (which was almost everything). The food was absolutely incredible, perfect amount of spice (medium), and good portion sizes. Our server, Sasi, was so polite and happy to help. Food was fast and reasonably priced.
