Dorian Greek House — Restaurant in Kamloops

My partner and I went for a date night here, and it was probably the best restaurant date we have ever been on. The music is fun, decor is pleasing and environment is inviting.

We had Avery as a waitress, she was an absolute delight, very freindly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. She hit the balance of attentive but not intrusive perfectly.

At first we were a bit put off by the prices, but when the food came out we were blown away by portion size. There was enough for supper as well as leftovers for a very filling lunch on the road home the next day! With drinks it was around $80, can't complain about that! We had the Mythos beer and Apollo drinks which were both very good and complemented the platter nicely.

The food was amazing, the potatoes are a borderline spiritual experience, you have to go just to try them. The rice is stickyish but fluffy with a mild tomatoe flavour which really complements everything well. The bread was so fluffy and the tzatziki is the best I've ever had. We had the kalamari, prawn, chicken, and ribs, all of which were amazing, I was very impressed with the portions with that, and I can't do it justice with a review.

We've never had Greek food before this, but Dorians was an amazing introduction, we will be returning anytime we are in Kamloops as well as recommending it to anyone who will be headed in...

Came here tonight to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. We’re a large group 8 adults and 8 kids. Foods were okay, but did not like their service. The other server (older blonde woman with tatts on her arms) that helped our server to serve our food was not so nice at all! She was staring and looking so mean to us, we just ignored that behaviour, maybe she was irritated because there was 8kids on our table. But when she’s giving the foods, she did not look happy or no emotion at all. Then she dropped a knife for one of the steaks, on the way to our table, and did not bother to replaced that knife. And then told us that there was an automatic 18% gratuity for a large group, and then I told our server that it was okay, and mentioned that we actually did not like the service of one of the servers. We feel like they did not deserve the gratuity that they were asking for. $66 for a horrible service! Also, when we asked if they give something out for a birthday celebrant, our server mentioned just a piece of cake, but did not even give us one. We are not coming back for sure! We used to like Dorian as we really like greek foods, but not going back...

Upon entering the restaurant (group of 8) we were not acknowledged until about 5 minutes of standing at the door. We then were told that we would be seen shortly, and continued to wait about 10-12 minutes, with nowhere to stand and thus blocking the entrance/exit.

When finally seated, one of us attempted to order lamb and they were told by the waiter that he wasn't sure and that he would check the kitchen. Some others at the table also mentioned that they were looking at lamb immediately after and the waiter said "oh I think we're sold out". Thus leaving the first person confused as to whether or not they had lamb.

Don't bother lying about if you don't have the dish.

But alas, they changed their orders and eventually our food arrived. The food was pretty good, large portions and full of flavour. The garlic toast was burnt, and when we asked for a replacement, another basket of burnt toast came back and the waiter stated "I guess our toaster is just toasting things like that right now" and offered us more pita bread instead.
