Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Kawartha Lakes

I’ve eaten at Popeyes and order from Popeyes many times over the years and I have always enjoyed their food. Let’s face it greasy food is the best food however my experience with this Popeyes in particular was horrible !!! When I called and ordered my food for deliver I was first hung up on after five minutes of waiting on hold( now I get it! Phones fail and places get busy, whatever it happens) after calling back and placing my order I had to ask two times what my total was because the girl on the phone was so absent minded I also had to ask her how long it would be instead of her telling me which is her job when she answers the phone. She rushed me off the phone which I understand in some cases yes it must be very busy at times, and lots of people calling in for food and such however when she rushed me off I realized she never asked me for my address and I had never order for delivery from there so clearly my name was not already in the system. So I called back and calmly and respectfully explaining I just needed to tell her my address because she forgot( I really was not upset at this point) once I finally got my food delivered my total was quite a noticeable amount more than what I was told it would be over the phone. I said nothing and payed the guy because I simply wanted my food. I needed 7 $ in change back(after I was already overcharged) this guy says he has no change and leaves to go get some from the corner store that is less than a block from my house..... we start eating and fifteen minutes have gone by this guy is not back with my change... so I call his cell phone that he called me from when he was outside my house. He says “oh yeah I’m sorry I’ll be right there! Just a minute I swear” I wait another fifteen minutes my enire family is done eating our meals at this point... so I called the Popeyes to speak to the manager. Turns out the manager is the guy that ripped me off. Such ignorance. I can’t believe that people are so rude and incompetent. I understand that some days are tough and it gets busy like I said before or whatever the issue is but when you repeatedly mess up with one order..... just quit. So...

After years of suffering thru McNuggets I thought I would try popeyes. I chose the tenders for my first try. I was blown away with how great they tasted, the portion size and the multiple choices of sides. Popeyes is now my go to if I'm grabbing something out.

The location in Lindsay is totally the best. I've been to about 6 other locations and the food here is the most consistent. The food here takes a bit longer but everytime I've been here it's made to order. So hot and fresh. I can get my order, go to mcdonalds drive-thru down the street for my wife and then park in the parking lot to eat with the Popeyes order still piping hot.

The people here are amazing. Always friendly and helpful and they know what to make me everytime I come here. The restaurant is spotless and inviting.

I've never had a bad experience at this Popeyes location. In a heartbeat I would choose waiting a little longer for my food when it's this fresh. No question I would pay the couple dollars more for this food over getting McGutrot from their processed chicken?? mcnuggets.

Usually this place is pretty good, but I've had a couple of bad experiences here. Previously, I was waiting in the drive thru for my order with one car in front of us. We waited over 20 minutes and when we got our order and without any dialogue, the girl at the window pretty much threw my food bag at me. At least I never saw her again afterwards. On this trip, I was alone. The store wasn't busy with having one person in front of me waiting for his order and one guy at the drive thru window. I placed my order at 12:05pm which was a butterfly shrimp combo with mashed potatoes and a drink. The pop machine didn't have ice. I told the girl behind the counter and she indicated that she still needed to do that. So I started with a semi warm drink. At about 12:15 the front counter girl yelled for my shrimp a second time. At 12:20 she told the guy in the kitchen "Is the shrimp down"? At 12:25 she angrily yells to the kitchen that "she needed the shrimp yesterday and where was it". At 12:35 I got my order. The food was good, the front counter girl was good, everyone else...
