When I was a young lad, I remember always asking my mother, "Is there a Heaven on Earth?" To my dismay, she always responded, "No hun, Heaven only exists far up in the clouds." I refused to accept this, so from that day forward I took it upon myself to find Heaven on Earth no matter what. My search took me to many different places all the way from North America to Europe. I've been to every great landmark on the planet, but there was nothing I'd call Heaven. On my way back to my hometown in Manitoba, I found myself travelling through a small city called Kenora. That's when I saw the sign and it opened up my eyes - the golden McDonald's arch. "Could this be?" I thought to myself, "Could Heaven be in such an unassuming place such as this?" I immediately pulled my car into the parking lot, and started walking toward the building. At that moment, I swore I saw big, beautiful, puffy white clouds surrounding it. I walked through the door, and inside my body I felt inner peace and enlightenment. This must be what it feels like to walk through the Pearly Gates. I walked up to the cash register and a great, angelic man named Mike D. asked, "Good afternoon sir! What can I get for you today?" This man was genuine, wholesome, and the kind of person who would never do anything even remotely evil in his lifetime. He is God, I know it. Mike handed me my order, and as he did this, I swore I saw bright, shining lights illuminate him. It was an absolute pleasure to have been in his presence.
The McDonald's in Kenora is Heaven on Earth. I say that with absolute confidence. Please, if you have a chance, go to this establishment....
Read moreJust went through the McDonalds drive thru here in Kenora and was told the 24 hour drive-thru was closed. The boy on the speaker was extremely rude without any form of greeting, snarkily saying it was closed and that there was a pylon in the way which we clearly drove around. One lane had a pylon in front and the other had one clearly off to the side and then this kid immediately threatened to call the police when we asked why they were closed. A simple question which deserves an answer if the lanes weren't clearly closed off. If the boy had started off with saying they were doing a system change and that's why they were unable to serve, instead of immediately threatening to call the police, going somewhere else wouldn't have been a problem. Unbelievably rude. Ended up going across the street to the A&W, they were out of absolutely everything and they couldn't have been more polite about it. And due to their politeness, it wasn't an issue that our 4 patties turned into only 1 as it was all they had - and while waiting for our meals, the police showed up. Incredible how a child is confident in wasting police services due to their desired...
Read moreFirst off only one kiosk out of the 4 was in service. It was occupied so I went to the counter and waited, although no one came to help at all. I also noticed no one was getting any help. So once i was able to use the kiosk i made an order of a double fillet of fish. While waiting I noticed a spilt pop on the floor, no one seemed to be cleaning it up so everyone was walking around it. Then I'm waiting and waiting, I decided to ask others how long they have been waiting. One woman ordered an iced coffee and it took 30 minutes before she received it and that was after she finally asked for it again. Another gentleman said he had been waiting 40 minutes. I waited 25 minutes for my sandwich. I don't go to this location often because of the absolutely horrible service every time, this time being the worst. When I asked about my order all I got was a snotty tone. In all my life I have never ever seen or received such horrible service. I've always hated going there and will now never...
