Ordered wor wonton soup and the one person combo (bbq pork fried rice, beef & veggies, and honey garlic pork). It was pretty decent, and the quantity was good. The prices are a bit high, but that's not unusual for this area. If you need a quick Chinese fix, then this place will do. EDIT 09/03/2021: The other night, I placed a pickup order and arrived, at most, 20 mins past the time I was told the order would be ready. They did call me a few times as I was heading over, but I didn't pick up because I was driving. I went in, let the cashier know I was there for a pick up, and the first thing he said to me was, "I was wondering if you were gonna show up." I'm not sure if it was a joke, but it didn't sound like one as he seemed annoyed. I didn't get what the attitude was for; they weren't closing for another 2 hours, it wasn't busy at all, and I was only 20 mins "late". The food here is mediocre at best, so having having to interact with a rude cashier gives me no incentive to come back.

NOT recommended. Ordered ginger beef (not spicy as advertised and quite chewy), house special chop suey (nothing special about it) and vegetable chow mein (which was very light on the vegetables). All of the food was greasy. On the positive side, the quantities of food were adequate and the service was quick. Noted that only one customer in the restaurant and appears that we were the only one who had a take out. Although this is not directly the restaurant's fault, there was a smoking pit two doors down outside of the Elk's hall, which added the unwelcome odor of burning cigarettes to the restaurant. This was not a total failure, but close to it. The food is sub-par and the smoking makes the whole experience unpleasant.

Delicious Chinese food that HITS the Spot!! Family oriented place serves Fresh meat, with generous portions and great fast service. This will definitely be our place to go to eat whenever we are ever back into this area! Very Fair prices. Very clean environment. Can’t wait to return 😋😁!!

Worst Chinese Restaurant I ever had! But if you love everything tasking like fish oil, This place is for you!!! I don't understand how this place had been in business since 2018! Order some hot and spicy soup! It looked like the "Casserole" of soups! All the left over mixed into this soup. It was not even "hot or Spicy" and the taste....Fish oil! We tried the Crispy Cho Mein noodles. Guess what they tasted like!!!! "Fish Oil! Order the Kung Ku Chicken. A nice Spicy tasteful dish. we didn't taste any other flavor but....FISH OIL! Order Beef and Broc. and these are soya sause based....but what did they add! FISH OIL! The steamed rice was dry but it didn't have fish oil on it! I dont understand why they add fish oil to everything or they use the same pot and not clean it! They say they try to be "Authentic" Chinese food. I have been to China and they do not add fish oil to everything!!! What if i was allergic to fish! We ended up throwing the food out! What a waste. Avoid this place! If you want Chinese food, try any other...

We decided to give the newly owned Hong’s Garden in Agassiz a try and ordered a dinner for four. Let’s just say… we won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

First off, the portions were tiny—way smaller than they used to be. Even the containers were downsized! And for $95, we expected a decent amount of food, but instead, we got mediocre-at-best quality and portions that wouldn’t even satisfy two hungry people, let alone four.

I get that times are tough with inflation, but this felt like a straight-up rip-off. Agassiz deserves better, and if the new owners of Hong’s Garden want to keep customers coming back, they’ll need to step it up.

Has anyone else tried it since the change? Curious if others had the same experience.

Let’s hope they listen and...
