I don't know if this place may of just had a bad day or what… but the service and the food definitely didn't reflect what the photos and the reviews said on google. My wife and I with our friends were looking for a place to grab a bite before the races at agazzi speedway. We got in the pub and the atmosphere was great and suprisingly wasnt overly packed for a Saturday night which was surprising. We all ordered Caesars as our first drink and they were great, after that everything seemed to go down hill. The server never checked up on us asking if we were ready to order or wanted more drinks we ended up having to get her attention. When we did order our second round of drinks it was all beer but yet took 20 minutes to get them and they werent even cold and tasted like they were from an old keg. We finally ordered our meal (we all ordered the venison burger) as well as the bam bam shrimp for an appetizer. 50 minutes goes by and we still hadn't seen any of our meals yet. We asked the server how much longer until our appetizer shows up (hoping to have it before our meals…) The server goes to “check” how much longer and surprisingly walks back with the shrimp. When she puts it on the table we were all a little surprised that all we got were 6 small shrimp plated on a giant piece on lettuce… and the shrimp had definitely been sitting under a warmer for a bit… Our burgers finally arrive and we soon to find out that 2 of the burger had the buns and sauces mixed up as well as 2 of us got fries that were iced cold and 2 of us got salad that was warm. When we told the server our issue she completely apologized and said she was going to make it right by discounting our meals which we thought was fair. When we asked for our bills we asked the server if she could split the bam bam shrimp between the 3 and when we received our bills we found out that she instead of discounting our burgers she just discounted the bam bam shrimp that was split 3 ways which came to about 80 cent discount… which felt like a bit if a slap in the face. I was so blown away I just wanted to pay my bill and leave. Probably won't come back again to this place due to the poor service and lack of care...

On the other side of the coin, first is the awkward layout. It is definitely crowded due to the furniture. Oversized square high tables, or a long family table that dominates the walking area in front of the bar. A change in layout would allow for better flow that doesn't make bumping into everyone you pass an expectation.
Next, the entrance really does not allow you to feel like you're welcome. You walk in and are caged in by a western door. Why is this here but to corral the guests to not be able to see them at all.
Last, is the food. It is great. Tasty and well presented, with a catch. I have to eat vegan for health reasons, not by choice. So when I asked if there is anything on the menu that I could eat or adapt, being laughed at for eating vegan to stay healthy was not well received. Then being suggested a caesar salad.....well that's just a no for about 4 reasons. Luckily my mom knows the owner, and her daughters who made a suggestion to adapt a dish to be vegan for me, rather than the first server saying that fries was my only option.
It was a nice try, but if I am honest, not a place I will be visiting again by choice, unless menus are brought up to a modern adaptation. Pub food can be vegan without being boring, that's the lesson...
Read moreQuite possibly one of the worst dining experiences of my life. I went with two buddies and all of us experienced a similar level of dissatisfaction and disappointment despite the rating being a 4.6 (which astounds me).
The burger was bland, under seasoned and the sauce was nonexistent. The yam fries were subpar and the nachos were clumsily assembled with uncooked cheese in the middle. The only saving grace was the calamari which I would have to assume was frozen and not prepared fresh. The food went through me in less than an hour.
The waitress didn’t write down our order and this came to be a mistake as my friend and I received each other’s meals. When I was finishing eating the leftover fries and about to grab another the waitress removed the plate without asking. I’m a hungry man. Don’t remove the fries without asking.
Lastly, when you walk in the place seems “outdoorsy” but I was greeted by a stuffed cougar overlooking me as I sat down on a booth that was falling apart…..a testament to the nonexistent care and dedication the ownership has for the establishment.
Will not...
