I’m surprised this place wasn’t busier—it deserves way more love and credit, and it’s easily at the top of my “Kimberley eats” list. We first tried the busy spot across the street, but after being ignored, we walked over here instead—and I’m so glad we did. From the start, everything felt welcoming. The front porch looked a little cramped, so we headed to the back patio. Hidden gem! Perfect setup for a warm summer night, and we lucked out that happy hour was on. Our server was super friendly and attentive. With our water came complimentary curry popcorn—a fun and tasty touch. For food, we went with the happy hour specials: the bratwurst and the signature Negroni. The Negroni was excellent—balanced, smooth. Honestly, I was expecting a basic snack-sized meal, but this was the opposite. The sausage tasted homemade, the slaw was fresh, even the bread tasted like it came straight from the kitchen. And yes—the proper hot mustard was served with it! If that much care goes into their happy hour dishes, I can only imagine how great the rest of the menu must be. Definitely five stars, and I’ll be back to try more next time I’m in Kimberley.

A quieter spot with a limited menu. We took advantage of the Happy hour specials and enjoyed the blue cheese and bacon burgers. Also tried the corn bread with ricotta cheese as a starter which was tasty as well but needs more cheese!!

Love this place! Ryan who owns it is amazing. His knowledge of wines and local cuisine is top notch. If you have any questions, just ask him! If your not sure, his wife might be sitting at the bar.

That warm and welcome feeling everyone wants when they walk into a restaurant happens here.

From the first second the smells were very inviting, the ambience was lovely and the server was happy to see us. It was pretty full when we arrived at around 8pm on a Saturday.

The menu is thought out and full of innovation.

The owner was present and came over to chat with us a few times (something we noticed he did to many of the tables) and this is a really nice touch that so many places are missing. That human connection of speaking and learning about the place in which you sit and are spending time. It was really nice to hear a bit about how long he had the place and how he gathered material for the tables and bar.

You can't go wrong by coming in here, we know we will back when in the area!

Ps. the skillet cornbread is not to be missed!! Best...
