Wide selection of food and drink in a modern casual dining setting. While there were a few inventive dishes on the menu and lots of pub staples suggesting effort and creativity on the food and beverage front, there was little guidance from our server as to the range of the menu, specials, or possible drink pairings for example which I think was more reflective of the limited expertise of some of the staff. Place has great potential and could definitely be a top spot in this area with possibly greater awareness by the serving staff about some of the tasty pairings that are possible. I guess what I am saying is that while this place clearly serves a role as a place where outdoorsy types can find a great brew at the end of the day, the high flavour register of the meal I had suggests that so much more is on offer here. I look forward to eating here again and watching this place evolve.

We went as a family of 7 during happy hour to try their food. It was all amazing. If you want just a couple of appetizers then that’s the time to go but if you think you might want more of something just order from the regular menu. Our fav was mucky fries although we liked the crab cakes and fish sticks too. The service was very good. They were very attentive even though it was quite busy. They had a stickers and coloring pencils for the 3 children with us. Would recommend going here but be prepared to wait if you don’t go early. It’s a popular food destination in Kimberley but worth the wait!

Our experience was on Tuesday night , rainy Ealy evening. The staff was really friendly have a fantastic hospitality skills. The restaurant theme create a beautiful decor. If you want to go in a restaurant that make you feel a local? This is the place. Nice whisky 🥃 sélection, Wine selection is limited but most of them come from British Columbia. Local beer is on sales as well. Food is amazing, generous portion and tasty!! Thank you Caytlin ( sorry if I miss spelling your name ) for your great service! Will definitely come back !

I ordered the Arr Cap'n fish burger and fries and all I can say is that it was the worst meal I have ever had the misfortune to experience. The burger was utterly tasteless to the point I wondered what I was eating . The 'fish' was actually 3 fish-sticks which were consisted of approximately 60-70% batter. The fries were burnt and covered in so much salt, I'd swear my insides were rusting away before I left the table. I expressed my disappointment with a server who just smiled and said she would let the manager know. I saw her speak to the manager and the manager never bothered to come to our table and address the issue with me (I suspect it may be because she couldn't disagree with my assessment of the food). I then spoke to another server and again expressed my disappointment and she said she would report it back but the manager still couldn't be bothered to come over and speak with me. 2 people in my group requested a 'To-Go' carton as they didn't finish their meal. The restaurant provided these but discreetly added a charge for each carton without any explanation. This is the first time I ever encountered a charge for a carton and to do so without advising the customer is just plain mean and underhanded. My experience was one of overpriced garbage that even trash pandas (raccoons) wouldn't dare eat. I recommend future customers vote with their feet and eat elsewhere.

Reply to owners response: Thank you for responding however it's a shame your manager didn't bother to come and talk with me on the evening concerned

With regards to saying that the 'sandwich' was free suggests that even you accept that you shouldn't be charging anything for such low quality 'food'. Diarrhea is free, but it doesn't mean people want it or enjoy it. You seem to think that by claiming the sandwich was free, you are doing me a favour when in actual fact my evening was ruined by the terrible 'food' you served, followed by me having to raise the issue not once, but twice, and the absence of any interaction from your manager at the time.

I did however pay for everything else in my group without any question, but you did not mention this fact.

You have also neglected to mention that I did not blame the servers and actually thanked them for what they do and told them that they are doing a good job. I even gave the servers a tip, because it's not their fault the cook, manager and owner let them down, but I'm fairly certain the tip distribution process means the servers have to share their tip with those that created the situation.

Yes, we are all human and make mistakes but you shouldn't be serving such terrible food and you should be taking ownership of the problem rather than promoting on here how generous you are by not charging for one 'sandwich'.

With regards to industry standards on charging for take-out containers, I have never experienced this charge at any other restaurant in BC, the USA or indeed the the world, and neither has anyone in my group. I have even asked my friends and they too have never experienced such a charge. Perhaps you are trying to set some standards, which in this case, demonstrates you are actually failing in all areas.

All it would have taken on the evening was for your manager to come over to my table, apologise and correct the problem. However, this didn't happen and future customers deserve to know what to expect when the...

I’m going to give a very honest review. This little restaurant is nestled in the sleepy town of Kimberley BC. It is a rustic feeling restaurant with water served in old glass milk jars and your dinner served on an old Metal tray- something similar to an old lunch cafeteria. Food is sub par. It is as if they are trying too hard to be better but do not have the skill to do so. The fries are soaked in massive oil and dripping off your fingers - under cooked but yet over cooked. They are mush in your fingers, seasoned with sea salt. The burgers are smothered with sauces so over whelming they are literally dripping off to make a mess beyond the true taste of the burger it’s self, again a very rookie move to hide poor taste. Sandwiches are barely edible as they are cluttered with grease. The appetizers is a far reach. The presentation was good but not excellent. The waitresses direly need to learn restaurant etiquette, reaching over their guests to gets knifes or dishes to clear a table is very unwelcoming, and straight out rude. The eyes view of seeing staff gather around the bar and not attend to guests as they talk, gossip and laugh is deeply unappealing. Over all- I would not recommend this restaurant until they learn how to properly tend to guests and not give their guests outrageous stomach aches from overly greasy food. Sadly due to the lack of food in Kimberley many will settle and pay dearly for it later as their bottom explodes in their white crown. Let’s hope for all guests the owner and management seek out this review as it will be the most honest they have ever had. Do better as you are surely failing, success is not measured by lack of but by true definition of quality and the...

I first heard about this place back in March' 2021 on tv at the gym on a show called "You Gotta Eat Here", the food was different and looked amazing. So while my wife and I were on vacation in Canmore, AB we decided to drive the 3.5hrs to Kimberely, BC to check it out ourselves, and I must say it was well worth the drive and the 20 minute wait for a table. Kimberely itself is a small but beautiful town that is warm and very friendly, after walking around for about 20 minutes we received a text telling us our table was ready, restaurant and its staff a extremely welcoming, the drink menu and food menu were completely different from anywhere we have ever been before, our appetizer was mouth watering, our drinks were outstanding and our main course was out of this world! The atmosphere was very warm, the staff stopped by frequently to check on us, everyone, including all the other customers were happy and cheerful, it almost felt surreal!, so if your looking for a restaurant experience that will definately leave you full and feeling great, warm and welcomed, that will leave you wanting to return, or never leave, the Pedal & Tap and it's great staff is the the place to go! We live in Edmonton, 7hrs away from Kimberely, but we will definitely return here again, even if it's just former a bite to eat and a quick drink, what an...
