They can be slow. There are line ups at the counter and at drive thru. Orders get messed up quite often. Expect to wait 20+ minutes for an order (personally have waited 9 minutes for a cup for pop- serve yourself and a muffin and there was 1 person ahead of me), even if there are only 1-2 people ahead of you in line. There are times they are faster, but it's very hit and miss. Some of the staff are great and really try, but most (not all) of the teenagers just don't care and they let you know they don't care (was told to "politely" wait one time for a couple of teens to get done talking about their exams before they would take my order, then they gave me attitude that I interrupted them by ordering). Don't go during school lunch hours, the place gets overrun and packed with highschoolers and they tend to loiter around the front lobby and some stay and eat there, so you have no place to wait or sit. Drive thru during this time is out too, cause all the adults go through it, to avoid going in the restaurant and first thing in the morning and in the afternoon the restaurant fills with all the local older people, meeting for coffee and to catch up on the local gossip. If you want to learn about the town's goings on, this is a great place and time to go. Food is typical McDs food and prices are average for around here (can be a little pricier), also don't expect them to have all the menu items or special deals they do in other places (they do have coupons and honour mobile app stuff, if they know how to and they have the items). Overall it's not the best McDs, but it's got typical McDs food to satisfy your cravings and it's the only one around for about 30 minutes, so......... Want to point out, there are some fantastic staff there, so if you come across them, make sure you let them know what a great job they're doing. Edited: There are have been some improvements in the last few years. Wait times have improved. Selection of food is still limited. Service is a bit better. I still don't go...
Read moreWell, let's be honest here.
McDonald's aren't exactly the place you go for good food or a nice place to sit down and enjoy yourself.
It's a place you go to with your kids on a trip because the food is fast and cheap.
This McDonald's is located in the same lot as a gas station. So, the lot fills up fast during peak hours, to the point that you're doing back flips over vehicles while hoping your children don't get tagged by some young kid who's still learning to pump their own gas.
So, once you make it inside and have broken a sweat just to stay alive, you meet the front desk help. The person who helped us was loud. You could hear her over the sound of a rock concert... from 500 meters away. Even while we were eating at the other end of the building, you could hear her as if she was sitting beside you.
The food was average. Average McDonald's food that is. So pretty decent in comparison.
Would I eat here again? Well, yeah. Atleast until my kids start...
Read moreTerrible experience buying a coffee from this McDonald's location. I needed to stop for a coffee to help my driving fatigue and ordered a large triple triple with an espresso shot in the drive thru and continued my drive. When I was down to half my coffee something went into my mouth and unsure of what it was I spit it back into the cup and took off the lid to see that it was a fly. I was absolutely disgusted and I contemplated driving back to the restaurant and I would have if I wasn't already past kinkardine and didnt want to add an extra hour onto our 2½ hr drive. I'm almost convinced that whoever was making this coffee must've noticed there was a fly in it as they were making it because it's made by a person not by a machine. I'll never buy anything from this McDonald's again and I suggest others to check their meals and drinks because someone there doesn't care about the food and beverages they prepare.
Sincerely a sickened and...
