I thought I was the only one who experienced a bad time but seeing these reviews, clearly there’s an issue. I remember going there since I was a kid. Used to be a vibrant joint all through childhood until I visited again for the first time in years. Although the young girl working there was enthusiastic and sharp, the rest of the atmosphere is as cold as the service from the manager. I asked him about the new side of potatoes they offer and coldly responded “they’re potatoes”. Little girl had to awkwardly intervene and tell me they’re like tater tots. I truly feel bad for that employee. Seems like the franchise owner was dining in but was on the phone arguing out loud both on the phone and with the manager. Comes off as a real big shot compensating for some sort of underlying insecurities. Both men were arguing about things not being up to required standard and that with a customer inside the restaurant.
Bread tasted frozen, no where near as fresh as it used to be. As for the cold cuts and dressings, can’t really mess those up, fortunately for them.
Piece of advice, instead of copy pasting a reply to your customers experiencing a such a miserable experience, maybe address the issues once and for all considering the amount of horrible you guys...

First my brother and I parked our bikes near the windows and I asked if we could sit near our bikes and she told me that section is closed! All the nice tables near the windows were off limits and blocked by chairs. Imagine a closed section in a fast food restaurant at 11:45am. The place was empty except for us. Employees have no personalities and look like they don’t even want to be there. Absolutely no ambience or personality in this place. Sandwich seemed pretty small and when we left, not one word from either employee. Not like “Have a nice day” or “thank you”. So easy to see how much this place has gone downhill. I remember 10 years ago seeing a line backed up to the door. So sad. Need a restaurant 101 course to improve things here. I am done and that was my last meal there. To many...
Read moreDagwoods usually coyd customer service and experience but it was a total opposite. When the guy in the cash was computing my bill it came up to $11.15 so I gave him $21.15 expecting a whole $10 hill but instead he gave me only $9. When I brought it to his attention he said no because it's the Saturday Dagwoods Special so I'm suppose to get a discount...so then why I'm I receiving less money back as change?? Then I had to sho him on my calculator ok my cell that he still gave me the wrong changes....then when he finally double check the bill he had input only $20.15 instead of the $21.15 I originally gave him to his face... This is a lesson to always ask for your receipt and be aware of the change you get back! Never coming back to this Dagwoods in St-Charles...
