I went once to eat there because friends said it was good and the food was OK there, especially the General Tao Chicken, nothing too impressive but not too bad either. And then I ordered food once and I have to say have never had worse Chinese food in my life. I never comment on these things and didn't bother going back and asking for a refund or whatever but the chicken looked like anything but chicken, it looked old. The food stunk of half-cooked food- even my partner thought the same without telling me but kept silent. It tasted like...there was no taste. And the smell was horrible. We took two bites and then said let's at least save the veggies but the stench was too bad so we just threw away the rest. You cannot be this bad as a restaurant. It looked like they had food to throw away and simply gave it to take-out clients. Their General Tao which we had the first time was ok only because they can cover it up with the breading and all the extra sweet sauce(even that could have tasted better cooked with some veggies) but other than that steer clear of this restaurant for your health's sake. Or just order General Tao chicken but tell them to put some...
Read moreWe ordered late at night and it came rather quickly, so that was nice. However, the food was mediocre. We ordered 2 vegetarian combos, the tofu with spicy peanut butter sauce, and the chow mein. The tofu was so watery that when we took bites, juice splashed everywhere, and it didn't taste like anything. There were also a lot of vegetables on top that were wet, so it turned the sauce to brown and liquid watery sauce that faintly tasted of peanut butter, giving the whole dish a very bland taste. We both agreed that the chow mein was good. Sadly, there was only a very thin layer of noodles at the bottom of the container, and most of it was filled with wet bokchoi and a few other veggies. The spring roll didn't taste anything more than oil (and old oil), and the sour and spicy soup lacked flavor. For +20$, I found the dishes were very lacking in general, and not very good. Yes the price is good for the quantity of food you get, but the quality is very far from...
Read moreSO DISAPPOINTED! I have been seeing decent reviews about this place for a while now and with our nearby favorite Chinese restaurant closing we decided to give it a try. Instead of ordering through Uber Eats and having this place give up a huge portion of their profits, I decided to drive over and pick up.
Our order had 2 mistakes, took 15 minutes to sort out and even when we got home we found issues. This food is buffet quality for fine dining prices! Maybe it makes sense if your a single person ordering a $15 combo, but $100 for 3 people Chinese take-out is insane and their portions are a joke.
The peanut dumplings that were supposed to have 8 had 6 tiny dumplings!!! One didn't even have filling.
The food is fine but the value is outrageously poor and we will never return. Beware, there are so many better options in the West Island and this place doesn't care about customer satisfaction...
