Harvey's — Restaurant in Kitchener

Hello, I have had food from here and noticed that they cook the meat, fries head of time. Not fresh at all. I have got sick eating at this place, not once or twice, wonder how many have got sick? It's not about how fast you server, must be how the food is cooked (Once the customers place their order then should be cooked) It's not how Harvey was 20 years ago. They used to have, breakfast and was excellent, but they do not sell anymore. Quality of the food has gone done. Canadian BBB and Ontario health department should check this place unexpectedly. (No notice) They should use gloves and cover their hair, including facial, if they touch/serve food. I would have given negative for food and how they cook. Not fresh at all. Thanks

07/26/2024 Did visit this afternoon. Still nothing has been changed. Still cook meat before the order. Who would fry Pickles before customer orders? Fries? Hope customers read the review about this Location. Will be reporting this location to Health and Food Ministry. These owners does not care if they serve old food and not. Customers beware what you order. When you tell them they do not respond and only one person did. Cook heard it, but keept ignored. STAY AWAY FROM...

Was asked if I wanted condiments at drive thru. Said yes and the person at the window tossed a ton of salt, pepper, vinegar, and ketchup packets into one of our take out bags. Get home and find a ton of these paper packets buried in our fries. Some of the packets had mustard on them (where did the mustard come from?). Might as well wipe your ungloved hands on a napkin and wrap our fries in it.

Burgers were cold and falling apart. They put half slices of cheese in two of the burgers and none in the Angus burger.

Both fry orders looked like they were one fry order split into two.

No activity book for our son, despite it saying the kid's meal came with one. We ordered here previously with better service but they forgot the activity book last time too.

Guess management isn't going for repeat customers, nor standard food handling practices.

Also, I suspect a lot of recent reviews are fake accounts or paid. Looking at a lot of the users' that gave 5-star reviews other reviews screams paid...

The burger was very sloppily made, the bun was half off the burger when she put it into the wrapper, and when I unwrapped it the majority of the condiments had fallen off the burger and onto the wrapper (I hadn't touched it, I carried it from the counter to a table on a tray). I know my burger was made by a trainee, so I would normally kind of let her off the hook since burger making takes some training, except that when I asked for my drink I specifically asked for no ice, and she put it in anyways (understanding the words 'no ice' shouldn't require any training). The trainee was messing around with the other employees instead of focusing on her work, which I partially attribute the crappily made burger to. All in all, it was not a great experience.
