This happened a few months ago and it is still sticking with me. On June 28th in the afternoon I went into town and stopped at this Timmies to get some water. There was a lady in line in front of me who went to buy four $20 gift cards for the teachers at her children’s school, two of her children were with her. The young lady behind cash made a mistake and loaded only two $20 gift cards, one gift card had $40, and one gift card had $0. She got her manager, went back to making drinks. While the manager is trying to assess what exactly happened she calls up the same girl and she SCOFFS and says “oh my god” as she’s walking over and started to argue with her manager while explaining the mistake she made (a bogus-making-excuses kind of story). So instead of finding a solution and getting the poor mother her money’s worth, they decide there is nothing they can do about the gift cards. They had the power to refund but decided not to and instead asked the lady to pay for two more gift cards. When she JUST PAID for a card with $40, and a card with $0 ZERO ON IT, because the young lady messed up. The mother became very reasonably upset and said she should not have to pay $120 because of the employee’s mistake. And she is absolutely right. Atrocious service. At that point I finally got my free water and left the store but I felt awful for not saying anything because this poor woman literally got scammed in front of me. I did not see the situation get resolved but this should never happen again. Get the managers to load the cards or don’t even both...
Read moreI have been a regular at this Tim Hortons for well over 6 years. I have been patient over these years with my coffee being made wrong a LOT. Within the past three months I've had my coffees made wrong three times. Each time calling the Tim Hortons when trying to let them know my coffees were made wrong. Two of those times the phone was not picked up. Coffees being made wrong during evening service. This morning I called again after not getting through to them last night. Letting them know my coffees were made wrong. I went through the drive thru this morning and to argue with the supervisor and guy running the window. They wanted my coffees back. When I used to bring my coffees back, they would look at me with five heads and say no no we don't want them. So now I don't bring them in. With that being said after calling and letting them know and then not telling me to bring them back with me, I proceeded there. I will no longer be a returning customer to this Tim Hortons. I will gladly make the trip down the road. A multii million dollar corporation and they want to give a regular a problem over TWO coffees. This is absolutely horrible service and no way to treat a customer who pays more...
