MJ's Gourmet Pizza — Restaurant in Kitchener

Ordered 2 large pizzas and wings today (Large Hawaiian; Large BBQ Chicken). Teenager at the counter was definitely uninspired and lethargic; when I asked if there were any specials or featured pies she replied "No." and then stared at me without expression. Not friendly.

When I asked what was on their BBQ Chicken pizza, she replied "We don't have a BBQ Chicken. It's whatever you want."

Despite her lack of enthusiasm or customer service focus, I still tipped $5.

The pizza was good, as were the wings; but I would recommend getting dipping sauce as there was literally no BBQ sauce to be found on the chicken pizza. The ingredients were tasty, hence the 4 stars, but most places drizzle BBQ sauce on the pizza and that would have definitely helped, as it was very dry.

Likewise the Hawaiian had no discernible sauce to be found (see attached photos). They don't need to be dripping, but for me, the sauce is an important component of a good pie. This would have been a great chance for this young lady to upsell some dipping sauce, but probably expecting too much.

The drab interior (with sun-faded vending machines and nothing else of note) does not make one want to sit in and enjoy, but maybe that's a management choice.

Verdict: $50 for 2 large pizzas and 8 wings; decent price, decent food, but it could be so...

We were in Kitchener to get our car serviced, and I went searching for food; I need to eat every two hours, it's a problem. I love food.

MJ's came up as a place that had a Keto Pizza. I've been following Keto for quite sometime, and I have to say, that was one of the best crusts I've ever had!! The cheese was also amazing!

My partner, who doesn't follow keto even said "I really like this!".

Highly Recommend! The toppings were fresh, the pizza was made to order, and very quick! I can't wait to service the car again, so I have an excuse to come to Kitchener and have another one!
