I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pizza Express, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience from start to finish. The combination of their delectable pizzas, warm and friendly staff, and inviting atmosphere made for a memorable evening.

Got food poisoning last night from ordering an XLG pepperoni bacon onion mushroom pizza. Urgent care closed early so seeing a dr tm if this persists. Everyone that ate it, got sick this morning. I called and the Indian man to advise him what happened and to see if there is any food spoliage, he only apologized, but didn't offer anything at all. It wasn't until I asked for my money back then he agreed to buy had to disconnect because of how sick I still am. Customer service HAS to be learned at this location, basic etiquette has to be taught, it's mindblowing. The dumbfounded response is so appalling and shocking, please go above and beyond especially for situations which involve contamination of the product.

Lastly, I also hope people that work here wash their hands before and after use of the bathroom, after touching the till, debt machine or money handling or the touching on any service with food-- once hands are washed and gloves are on, take gloves off once pizza is in oven, no till touching while gloves are on. I see this a lot with new comers in the work force especially almost always in hospitality and I've had to call people out to wash their hands, publicly. I can't believe I have to write this. These are basic skills for the workforce that I really hope are enforced. Bacteria can be spread so easily without proper hygiene practices, please teach this. Basic hygiene and proper etiquette is essential in hospitality. This was a pickup delivery so I wasn't able to see how the product was handled, but I can only assume and take a good guess as well as hope for the best since people are suppose to trust a service to its fullest capability.

Probably won't ever be coming back after I get my money back. I'm upset to spend time...

Edit - so we have them another chance. This order took just over 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive. We were originally quoted 45 minutes. The toppings were better but the crust was still terrible. This time there was an issue with the wings (last time they were over or under cooked, they were tough). We ordered medium wings. They must have run out of sauce or something because it was mixed with pizza sauce. The wife thought I was joking when I said it tasted like the sauce on the pizza. She tried it and agreed it actually did. Not sure what happened there!

Either way, I tried to be fair and consider their mistakes a fluke but this further cements that sadly, this place isn't what it used to be :(

What happened?!?

This used to be our favourite place. The last few orders have all had issues though. Today however was the last time we will order from here. Funny enough, it was the first time our order was entirely correct in quite some time too. Like, you guys messed up a plain cheese and pepperoni pizza even.

But anyway, today's pizza was just... terrible! What happened? New owners? New staff? Cost cutbacks? The toppings weren't as generous and the crust was awful. The crust was dense when it's usually kinda fluffy, and it was also tough. The toppings were all melded into this thin form/slab that fell off the crust. It reminded me of that really cheap pizza you buy ready to go from a grocery store.

It's truly the end of our favourite pizza joint! Very sad that I'm writing this review. It's been a good few years!
