I had a disappointing experience at Starbucks yesterday (tue oct 22,2024 2:30pm). One of the employees, a brunette girl with a fuller figure making the drinks seemed to treat me differently from other customers. When my drinks were ready, she didn’t call my name, even though she did so for others—possibly because my name isn’t a typical English one. On top of that, one of my hot drinks came without a sleeve. I politely asked her for a sleeve and some water, but instead of assisting me, she prioritized other customers even though I had been standing there for over five minutes. After being told “yup” with no follow-up, I had to ask another employee just to get a cup of water. Even then, I had to ask again for the sleeve, which was sitting right in front of her.
It was disappointing to see such inconsistent service. However, I want to give credit where it’s due—the blonde cashier was extremely kind and polite, and her professionalism stood out compared to the others. Instead of talking to his wife who came in to order after us, he should have focused on his task at hand. When he didn't fill the cup close to the rim with the drink, I thought that he was going to overcompensate for a lot of whip cream (the amount that other baristas would put to make a heap) but no, he put a thin layer which didn't even make the drink to the rim and then when putting chocolate sauce, there wasn't enough chocolate in the bottle. Thinking that he was going under the counter for a new bottle, his wife asked, "are you getting a new bottle?" where he replied, "no, " and just splattered what was left on top of my drink. He was generous to put the bigger chucks of chocolate on top but my overall impression of this experience proved that the customer service and how much the baristas care is declining with...
Read moreTerrible service. If you’d like to wait 20 minutes for a coffee, go here. While waiting to place my order, saw multiple employees just wandering around obviously not working. Also, they prioritize mobile orders above anyone who has been standing in line no matter the time. Also, they are not familiar with their own ordering system. I specifically ordered a Grande black iced coffee. Then, the barista asks me if I want sweetener so I clarified and said no. Then, I watch the barista go to the COLD BREW, poor some in, and proceed to the sweetener to put in 4-5 pumps. I stopped her and pointed out that I did not order a cold brew and I specifically said no sweetener as marked on the cup. She replied “iced coffee comes with sweetener” to which I said “when you order something black, it means no milk or sweetener. I even clarified as marked on the cup”. She then realized her error and made me the proper drink.
