Super Shawarma — Restaurant in Kitchener

This is our go to place for shawarma plate. We always order here but we might not be coming back because of one person. The indian lady in the cashier today at around 8 to 8.30 pm is very rude. Apparently, they only have one shawarma plate when we wanted to order 5 plates. So we needed to change our order. We told her in advance that we are still waiting for response from another person. So she started to prepare our first order which is the shawarma plate. Then they didnt have beef plate too. So we needed to message again the other person. The next time we approached her she was preparing the order for the uber. She rudely said can you fix your order because I still need to do something.

She got annoyed that we are ordering again but its not our fault that they dont have what we want and she didnt tell us in advance what they have to save both our time. She could have said give me a minute instead. We wanted to order more but she didnt return to the counter so we ended up not ordering.

She was not only rude to me but also to the uber drivers who were there to pick up the order. The service is appalling. The other guy inside who prepares the order was kind enough to say sorry to us in behalf of her.

Then, when we were about to leave, lo and behold, there's more chicken shawarma. We've been lied to. The other guy who said sorry to us asked her what happened. She lied and said I just ordered 1. I told her no. I ordered 5. She insisted I only ordered 1. She is a liar.

This is the first time this happened here and this makes us sad. I just hope she gets more training for customer service. And I hope she didnt spit...

Since they've been established we go here every Friday for a treat and felt the need to write a review after my last visit. By far the tastiest shawarma meat in town, however I find some of the employees to be slightly disgruntled, inconsistent and never listen to directions. For quality of food definitely 5 stars. For service 2 stars. We're a big fan of the shawarma plate and poutine. Both DELICIOUS!!! When the employees get the container ready they serve the smallest amount of rice and a decent portion of meat. They then proceed to add hummus and a salad. EVERY TIME I go there, I always advise the employees to put one line of hot sauce and garlic sauce....but they never do. It ends up being more sauce than rice. Furthermore, they serve hummus which is great, but what do you eat the hummus with? The rice is already saucy and I assume you would not put hummus on salad. My suggestion is serve a quarter of a pita to go with the hummus. One time I advised the employee not to add hummus because of this reason and he rolled his eyes at me. There used to be a tiny little woman that ran the front and she was AMAZING!! Bring her back. She listened and one time I even observed her offer someone a sample of falafel patty because they were uncertain on what it was...that is above and beyond. Ultimately, lets get some consistency going here and start listening to your clients. Besides that, food is great :) Well it's Friday...off I go to...

I have eaten at super Shawarma over three dozen times typically during the week when the owners are working. Have never had a disappointing experience until today. I got a chicken Shawarma wrap like always. They had made the wrap put it on the grill at that point while wearing the same gloves Hoisted the chicken spit up cut open the plastic wrap so all the raw chicken juices were all over the gloves once they threw it in the garbage they then grabbed my chicken wrap off the grill with the same gloves. This is completely unacceptable and unsanitary. When I questioned What they just did to my food, they said that it is still chicken. That is unacceptable. They then proceeded to ask if I would like a new wrap, I obviously wanted what I paid for. That Shawarma wrap was so offputting because of what happened. Worst Shawarma experience to date. used to come in here. All the time will no longer be back. Please speak to your workers. I feel bad for any delivery orders where the people may not know that their food has been contaminated. You should change your payment Method so you pay after you see the food is made as I did tip and instantly just wanted all my money back but still took the food....
