Zero-Star Review: Rights Violated at KFC I am beyond appalled by the treatment my family and I received at KFC last night. Not only was the service unacceptable, but we were treated in a way that blatantly violated our rights as customers and as human beings. First, the drive-thru microphone was broken, forcing us to order at the window. Despite this inconvenience, we placed a simple order for a shared bucket and a 2-can-dine sandwich combo. As a family of four traveling in two vehicles, this should have been straightforward. However, the manager informed us that they were low on chicken strips and only had three left, though we needed four. I suggested a simple substitution—just replace one of the missing strips with a piece of chicken from the shared bucket. To my shock, the manager refused to accommodate this reasonable request, citing their rigid store policy with no substitutions allowed. This is not only poor customer service but a violation of my basic consumer rights. I have visited KFC locations worldwide and have NEVER encountered such inflexibility and disrespect. The situation escalated when the manager told us we could either wait 15 minutes or drive to another location—this was said with complete disregard for our time and money already spent. Her attitude was dismissive, condescending, and utterly disrespectful. After paying, we parked and entered the store to collect the food. When I politely asked for the manager's name to file a complaint, all three employees turned their backs on us and went into the back room, leaving the store unattended. This act alone is a violation of the basic right to be served and treated with respect as a paying customer. When the manager finally reappeared, she threatened to call the police simply because I asked for her name. This is harassment, plain and simple. To add insult to injury, the food we eventually received was cold, the order was incomplete (drinks were missing), and we were subjected to what I can only describe as discriminatory treatment. We were treated as if we were a nuisance rather than valued customers, and I cannot shake the feeling that this mistreatment was rooted in something more insidious. Our experience was not just disappointing—it was dehumanizing. Our rights were violated in several ways: As paying customers, we were entitled to fair service, which we did not receive. As human beings, we were entitled to be treated with dignity and respect, which was completely disregarded. We were harassed, dismissed, and subjected to what felt like racial and discriminatory behavior. I will never support this business again, and I intend to escalate this matter further with every resource available to me. This level of service, or rather disservice, is unacceptable in any business, let alone one that claims to serve the public. Below is a photo of the manager who was on duty, and I will be seeking legal advice to determine how far this...
Read moreI went here on the evening of July 19 at about 8:10 pm, wearing my mask and disposable gloves. They have signs posted outside their store regarding their policy on masks in the store, which is now a new law that requires people to wear one here in the region anyway. I'm not here to debate with people about masks and covid and all that. I'm taking this seriously, if you dont, then you're making a mistake. I entered the store and immediately noticed that the manager in the back was putting together orders and was not wearing a mask, huge red flag! I then realize the customer in front of me was also not wearing a mask, their store policy clearly stated if you dont have a mask you cant come in and to call a number they have provided and they will bring you your food, I guess outside to avoid going inside, which makes sense to me. I didnt say anything to the customer, when he left I said to the cashier I understand you're not law enforcement, but maybe you should at least remind the customer they must have a mask on next time they come in, I called out the manager for not wearing a mask as well. He just chuckled at me, really upsetting behavior. The cashier actually tried explaining to me that not everybody needs to wear a mask, this information is wrong, incorrect, not true. I told them this was highly irresponsible business practice, and to stop spreading misinformation. If you dont care about covid 19 and think this is all a hoax then you will fit in nicely here. If you want to protect your family and friends and seniors, and those who have compromised health, then please do yourself a favor and avoid this...
Read moreThe service was slow. Servers behind the counter were talking for a solid minute before coming over to the cash register only to turn around and resume the conversation for an additional minute. We were the only customers in line at 8:30pm. At least 5 staff were on shift but only two were seen actually working. Lots of complaining about when work would end and about other employees.
The employee who took our order was more interested in her energy drink, texting on her phone and not messing up her acrylic nails. She was seen several times drinking her energy drink which is not sold at KFC behind the counter. She seemed to be hiding it along with her phone behind delivery bags and a cleaning bucket the had been left on the counter.
Generally service is good here but not the last 2 times. A week ago we were turned away 20 minutes before closing by a young man saying the they were out of chicken. People were still in the restaurant and the skip the dishes order was being filled as we stepped up to the counter.
This time the timing of the popcorn chicken was off and we were told it would be a 3 minute wait. During this wait our other hot food was left on the counter getting cold in the air conditioned dinning area while 2 other orders were being filled.
Both times no one asked if we would l like to order if it was to go or if we wanted any sauces, salad or gravy as usually happens with the more experienced employees. I suspect this is a summer job for this crew that at least 3 of them don't really want.
The food was passable when we got home but it will be a while before I return...
