Review November 2024: It's time for a renovation and watch the tax lines... Excellent food as always, this was our best meal we've had here in all of our many years coming to Greek House Restaurant. The scallops, prawns and all of the meats were cooked perfectly! (Tip/reminder, when you order the platters, the tzatziki you get with the pita is for the entire meal, they don't give you extra when the platter arrives.) Not the best service this time unfortunately and the restaurant is really looking dated and dirty. It's time for a renovation and let's recycle all of those old liquor bottles! We were out celebrating another birthday and this time we weren't wished a happy birthday or a birthday treat, no big deal, but always appreciated when we get some sort of recognition for celebrating a special occasion at a restaurant. Of special note, I was charged liquor tax on a non-alcoholic beverage (Corona Sunbrew) contrary to liquor tax rules, so keep your eye on your bill if you are ordering non-alcoholic beverages. I'm sure this is an easy error for them to correct and hopefully they will or already have corrected. Previous review from August 2024: Our favourite Greek restaurant in the Okanagan! We eat here often and do a lot of take out. Our go to, is Chris' Platter. The scallops were cooked perfectly and you can't get enough of those delicious lemon potatoes! My only complaint/suggestion, would be to include more tzatziki please! The platter could definitely benefit double the delicious tzatziki portion! Service is always top notch. Our recent order was for take out and were were asked by every employee that walked by if we had been helped or needed anything. Keep that yummy Greek food in my belly!

Visited the Greek House in the summer and it ticks all the boxes for a place that is passionate about its culture. You drive up to the Blue and White building with a big sign and roomy parking lot. The covered patio, outfitted with fountains, greenery and protruding wine cask decor and people sitting and enjoying themselves. We sat on this patio though did venture inside and the atmosphere inside seemed just as whimsically Greek and energetic. Called ahead and made a reservation. The place was buzzing so I think it was a good idea. The Staff were friendly and welcoming got seated right away. Started our meal with a couple shots of ouzo and perused the menu. I went for the Greek rib Dinner and it was definitely a meal. Don’t get me wrong, I ate it ALL! The ribs were deliciously seasoned and fell off the bone! The rice and Greek salad rounded out the plate! I didn’t ask but it seemed the cucumbers in my salad were locally grown, they just tasted extremely fresh. With Greek music playing in the background, tables of friends of families around us enjoying food, drink and laughter it was highly enjoyable. Noticed the steady stream of people coming to take meals home, its obvious This place is a local secret gem that will now be a regular visit for me when in the Kelowna area. Drooling thinking about those ribs!! Keep up the great work Greek House Restaurant! Highly recommend!!! Yamas!

Fantastic gem in Lake Country. Decided at last minute that we wanted to try this place for the first time on a Saturday night. Knew it would be busy so called to see if we could make a reservation. 45 mins later we were dining and the place was packed. (Highly recommend booking a reservation). Service was top notch. As there were 3 of us we were going to share the Zorba Platter (menu says it serves two) so we started with 2 appetizers Kalamari and Sikotakia (Chicken Livers). Little did we know that a huge plate of Pita bread with Tzatziki Sauce as well as a platter of Greek Salad to share would show up. All the appetizers were delicious and I would highly recommend them. When our Zorba platter arrived it too was an abundant portion and fed us just fine. Lots of lemon potatoes and rice along with the shrimp and meat varieties. Super tasty! Only problem was we didn’t have room to try their Baklava for dessert. Will do so next time as we will definitely return.

Seen a rant about this restaurant and it reminded me to post my bad experience from over a year ago, but I use to be a regular. I ordered take out and the hostess was very unprofessional and had a terrible attitude. When I arrived the atmosphere was incredibly negative and my friend asked as we left what that girls problem was? It was over me asking to purchase a bottle of wine I couldn't find locally, apparently it was a ridiculous question and it bothered her so greatly she had to put me on hold to go ask someone else and make a condescending remark. The response was out of proportion and I decided that condoned attitude turned me off from ever returning. I heard they've gone downhill and perhaps that was around the start.

*this is a response to the owner. Look at the rant on Facebook and read the comments perhaps. This is not the right way to deal with a complaint from a professional standpoint. I'm so glad I never bothered emailing you back then, it's clear you wouldn't of wanted to make it right with this over the top emotional response. No, I will not apologize for my genuine experience. Have a...
