The vegetarian options were particularly impressive. From flavorful curries to aromatic biryanis, each dish was carefully crafted to showcase the essence of Indian cuisine. The paneer tikka and vegetable samosas were absolute winners, bursting with delicious flavors and expertly spiced. The daal and basmati rice were cooked to perfection, making them the perfect accompaniments to the other dishes.
For those who enjoy non-vegetarian delicacies, Madhuban has an equally impressive selection. The succulent chicken tikka masala and tender lamb curry were absolute highlights. The flavors were robust, and the meats were perfectly cooked, making every bite a memorable experience. The tandoori items, such as the chicken tikka and seekh kebabs, were juicy and packed with smoky goodness.
What truly sets Madhuban apart is the attention to detail and the impeccable presentation of each dish. Read moreThis place was incredible from the flavorful food to the affordable prices to the impeccably clean and beautiful ambience of the restaurant. Upon entry we were greeted by Umesh and seated at a beautiful table with fresh flowers. It was near closing so there weren't too many people left in the restaurant but they were visibly enjoying their food and making comments about how good it tasted. The restaurant smells so good and they were serving a buffet however we ordered takeout. Even as a takeout customer we were given a table and some water while we waited. Umesh came to our table and explain some of the history of the restaurant and the food which we really appreciated. He provided us a complimentary snack while we waited and genuinely seem to care about our dining experience. The food did not disappoint it was perfection. It was spicy and flavorful with rich depth and a perfect balance. The portions were well sized and the prices were exceptional for how much food you were given will definitely be screaming from the rooftops about this place as it was delicious. I don't live in Edmonton but this place makes me want to. I had the butter chicken and it was hands down one of the best ones I've ever had and I eat a lot of Indian food. I was also extremely impressed with how much chicken came in the dish. The naan bread was easily also the best I've ever had. This restaurant has only been open a few months, and I have no doubt that years to come it will be thriving based on it's quality of food and service....
Read moreHonestly, the food was very bland. I love Indian cuisine for its distinctive flavor profiles, and I love the 🌶🌶🌶 dishes. After reading the reviews, I was looking forward to the dinner buffet. Sadly, the flavors of everything here were bland and muddled. Usually there is at least 1 spicy curry, there was not, even the green chili chutney 0🌶was watery and bland, chana masala is supposed to be tangy it was in a weird flavorless gravy 1☆, Dahl Mahkani 1☆, butter chicken 2☆, chili chicken was oily and bland and missing the 🌶. Naan should be soft and chewy, this was dry and crispy. The rice was dry. Pakora was dry and oily/ weird. The fish pakora was good 3☆. There were no shish kebab or Tikka masala and Tandoori chicken was only drumsticks , disappointed there was no chicken breast/ white meat. Imo, the recipes have been stretched (to save money) resulting in really bland food. Either that or it's just bland food. I don't know, but the food definitely did not meet up with the 4-5☆ reviews. Maybe, if one has never eaten authentic Indian Cuisine, this could be considered good, but no, sorry, I am trying to be positive, but the food was just bad. In fact, I barely ate anything, th3 majority of what I had on my plate I didn't eat. It was a waste of food and money. To those with a good palate, I do not recommend this food. The staff was very nice and the...
