Simply House-Grand Bend — Restaurant in Lambton Shores

Cannot recommend. We had spring rolls that were obviously commercial frozen product, they were still ice cold inside. Was talking to another couple there who had ordered fish and chips, same complaint, theirs was no different than frozen fish and chips from a grocery store, chips were hot but fish was still frozen on the inside. Either something's wrong with the frier or the cook is not taking enough time, even though to both of us the food took longer than expected to be served. Prices were high but its Grand Bend in summer, wouldn't have minded prices if the food was cooked. Took a gamble after reading mixed reviews on Simply House. Also it’s winter in Grand Bend which I find the restaurant quality goes downhill. But Simply House exceeded my expectations it was top notch Chinese food!

Got the dinner for 4, everything was nice and hot and perfectly cooked. The Lo Mein was the best I’ve ever had! Chicken Balls had lots of chicken in them, fried rice was perfect.

Service was super friendly. Prices were a bit high but it’s 2022 inflation is a nightmare and it’s Grand Bend so it’s expected.

The food was good... a bit overpriced. But their Large size soup is a great portion but not a huge fan of the Hot and Sour. It was very watery and the taste was off. Their house special fried rice was good. We also ordered the beef and black bean as well as the general Tao chicken... very minimal meat mostly veggies. Legit about 5 pieces in the chicken dish and about 6 small slices of beef.

The service was friendly ...Definitely wouldn't order...
