I ordered for a special family meal at around 4:15 with a delivery time of 8PM. At 8:20 there was no food so I called and asked and the restaurant employee assured me my food was on the way and there was traffic.
It's a ten minute drive between the restaurant and the delivery address and there's rarely traffic at that time of night in the area.
At 8:40 there was still no food and I got a call from the employee saying that the driver would be charging me EXTRA when he showed up. My food was already almost 45 minutes late. I know things can happen but I had gotten excited about having a nice meal with my family after they got home from visiting grandparents now that we're all vaccinated. It was later in the evening, they hadn't had a chance to eat yet and we had been waiting for them.
Apparently the extra charge was because the delivery location was outside of the 5km range. I admit I could have missed it, but I didn't see anything on the website saying there was an extra charge for people who were more than 5km away (my home is 6km away). There was also no pop up when I put my address in saying that I was outside of their range! I paid online too so you'd think that'd be taken into account when calculating the delivery charge, but no. Our food showed up almost an hour late and we were charged extra for it.
The food was decent but I was so unbelievably angry. The employee on the phone was polite but didn't seem to understand how ridiculous the situation was. I'm a bit shy and I have trouble telling people I'm upset with them but I actually told them I was disappointed. Read moreFirst and foremost, the food was excellent! Nothing against the kitchen. It was the service that was the absolute worst we've ever experienced.
There were 3 people waiting tables, 2 nice ladies and a guy in a vest. The ladies appeared to be assigned other sections. Cool, I understand that's how restaurants work. My issue is with the guy in the vest.
I'm pretty positive that we were labeled as tourists and the "3 Asians and the black guy with an infant" as our service reflected that stereotype. We felt rushed to order, so we started with an appetizer. Soon after we ordered our main courses. As soon as those were brought to the table, we were ignored. We were not checked on, our water glasses empty... Hell, even the people at Fatburger ask how the food turned out. To top it off, we had to flag him down twice and as for the check.
Meanwhile, the table next to us with 5 couples and a table for 2 behind us (which were seated after us by the way) were given all the service that you would expect from any nice restaurant.
Needless to say, I will NEVER patronize this business again. My wife says I'm too generous when it comes to tipping as I start at 20% and work my way up or down depending on how the service was. Read moreI am sorry to say but the worst customer service in town. After my starters there were some chutneys and leftovers on the table, i wiped it with my napkin and keep it on the plate with the food waste(chicken bones) and kept the plate aside and the server came with the food and she was like put the bones in the plate which i got the starters and use the same plate to eat the main course. But she can see the used napkins on the plate.
The main course came and didn’t get new plate for 5 mins and nobody came then i have go to the counter and asked for new plates. Then i got the plates and she didn’t say a sorry which is a proper manners and didn’t take the used plates as well
The restaurant doesn’t seems busy outside but even if they have online orders they have to take care of their guests. I had worked as a server and this is not how it should be.
Nobody came to see if everything is fine or if i need something else didn’t even filled my glass with water. I asked for plates going to the counter and what if i need water?? Do i have go to the counter again.
A suggestion from my side is just check the tables, and refill the water and try to be professional or just take care of the guests, Its not just putting food...
