We stopped by for lunch. The first impression was the restaurant follow covid protocols very well. They’re quite busy during lunch time but the service is very attentive and friendly. There’re many choices on the menu and there are some interesting, fancy rolls as well. My friend had a lunch box which was good, but my udon soup for some reason didn’t taste any salty at all (maybe the cook forgot to put some salt in there 😅). I let the waitress know the matter and she brought some salt and soy sauce. The soup tasted better but still not how it supposed to be. Other than that, it was spicy as I wanted and the amount of seafood in there was good. The waitress offered to make me another bowl but I thought it was alright and I didn’t want to waste the food. She ended up talking it off from the bill. I was actually happy to pay because I appreciated how you cared about customers and made effort to make things get better, especially when you’re busy and had to deal with other customers too. We found this place while starving during lunch hour; we didn't know that this restaurant is strategically located in the heart of Langford, with a grocery store next to it, and plenty of other restaurants nearby as plan B's, just in case we didn't like the menu lineup. Thankfully, that did not happen.

The lunch specials gave us enough mileage, so we ordered two different versions of that. My version had beef teriyaki, and I paid extra to upgrade the California rolls to Dynamite rolls (best $1 I've spent all day). The Dynamite rolls held together well and were tasty. The beef teriyaki was okay, but I was pleased at the generous portion on the Bento box. The lunch special also came with miso soup, salad, a few pieces of tempura, and an upside-down orange. All in all, quite a pleasant experience.
