ETA (since I can't seem to reply to the owner's reply)
I find it very telling that all my emails went unanswered, yet you had the time and inclination to publicly reply here, and you are now accusing me of being rude to your staff.
I'm attaching screenshots of my emails to show: I was not rude You didn't refund the order until after I made 2 requests
I'm also attaching images of the order in question and a previous order to show that I had no way of knowing that the the date I selected didn't save (I blocked out the items so as to not inadvertently recommend any of your products).
Your confirmation emails do not show the delivery date, which I knew because I have placed many orders with you before. I had absolutely no reason to suspect that you didn't get the date for this latest order.
So I find it absurd that you say "Il est de votre responsabilité de nous donner date de livraison. Nous ne pouvons pas la deviner". If your customers have no confirmation of delivery date, and you receive an order without a date, do you just never deliver it? You're just proving how bad your customer service can be.
I don't have recordings of the phone conversation I had with your employee, so it's hard for me to prove that I was not rude Your employee blamed me for not setting a date, lied to me about emailing me to ask for the date and completely dismissed the inconvenience caused by telling me you were too busy to follow up with me about my delivery date and it was my problem
To that I can only say that if your employee had shown any empathy or regret for the situation, or if you had subsequently answered any of my emails, including the one that I later copy-pasted as this review expressing my frustration privately, I would not have felt compelled to publish any of this publicly.
My only 'proof' is that the few reviews I have posted are 5* because I generally believe in giving praise when I have an exceptional experience and in giving the benefit of the doubt when I have a bad experience, but you're clearly doubling down on blaming me, taking zero responsibility and showing zero empathy for the position you put me in as a host on Saturday night.
Original review:
I had been a regular customer until now. I placed an order for almost $250 to be delivered last Saturday. I didn't receive it and called them at 7pm to ask what happened.
I was told on the phone that I didn't specify the date and that they had emailed to ask. I never received such an email and asked why they didn't call, to which she replied they were too busy. I have placed multiple orders with them before, and I am certain I indicated the date, because I triple checked that I selected the correct one.
The person on the phone was very rude and dismissive, and basically told me they were too busy to care about my order.
My order was for a dinner on Saturday, so I had no use for the order after that (not that I ever received any part of it). On Monday I emailed asking for a refund and to ask for a screenshot of the email that they claimed they sent me, since the only emails I have from them are their multiple promotional emails and my order confirmation (by the way, if they get your email, be ready to be spammed with ads).
I received no response on Monday, and then followed up again this morning, again asking for a refund. I then received an email issuing the refund, without any acknowledgement at all for the inconvenience they caused me (and of course no screenshots).
At this point I am convinced that they were lying on Saturday night on the phone when they claimed to have emailed me to ask for delivery date. They missed my order and instead of apologizing and trying to make up for it, they tried to blame me, act like it wasn't their fault or their problem, and then proceeded to ignore me.
Their products are good, but I would rather return to Duc de Lorraine or Christian Faure, where they also have good products, and much better...

Read moreFor years, we have looked forward to grace our table with your divine creations. Our celebrations always included dishes or pastries from your establishments. Imagine our deception this year. For Christmas we ordered Brasilia, seduced by the description in your site, we expected something out of this world. In reality it was mediocre at best, no aroma to speak of. Beside the bright orange slices, the actual log was pasty in texture and tasteless, to the point that one of our guests left half of her slice on her plate, and no one wanted seconds! A first for us. We wanted to give you a second chance and for New Year, we ordered the Pistachio Paris Brest. It is now, in our compost bag. This time, the chou pastry was soggy, the pistachio cream was not only pasty, but gelatinous. Thank goodness for the berries and the actual pistachios. On the other hand your croissants lived up to your reputation. BONNE ANNÉE 2023 ÔFauria... We sincerely hope for a return of your finesse and excellence. I personally regret I didn't order your brioche aux fruits confits. I'm sure it must...
