Crusty's — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

Great fries that come from multiple local restaurants, mostly pizza places, recognize them anywhere.

I got the classic burger and honestly, the pictures are “arranged” at least? (The photoshop work is also a little clunky but good enough) Burger looks big, but the bread is a huge sponge which can be flattened with no effort and the result is the same feel, size, and taste as a generic mcdonalds burger.

Its not bad, by all means, but the burger patty is a flat disc exactly like mcdonalds does it. Frozen? Probably not, but the difference is impossible to tell. Not bad, but could be better. I guess the decor and photos raised expectations and left me mildly dissapointed. I really couldn’t help but to compare that particular burger as one from mcdonalds. Worth trying and comparing the different dishes. But first impression was lost.

I might’ve ambushed the staff during down time considering one of them was on the phone and was too casual about it. Average student part timer attitude who dont seem passionate about the work and thats only fair considering how small the joint is. It has its own charm. Will try...

The ambiance and decor of this place are out of this world! Not only does the outside look cool, but once you go inside of the resto, every wall is painted with cool designs and poster, each table is space-themed, the TV displays a space-themed video. The music supports the vibes and there are retro arcade games you can play for free. Not only is the bathroom super clean, but it is insane decor-wise with LED lights and amazing wall art. The only complaint I have about this place is that the food isn't as good as the other Crusty's in Laval... My mac and cheese was burnt and had less spices than I am used to as I often go to the other Crusty's, and my friends nuggets were dry. The burgers were great and so were the fries and drinks we had, just small differences between the taste here and the other place. I have to admit that their burgers are indeed pretty big and filling but for 10-15$ for only a burger, I was expecting a bit more. The meat patty was dry and I wasn't a big fan of the chewiness of their buns either. I just feel like it didn't go that well together but I can see why people like it too. It was also maybe because of the delivery that the quality suffered a bit. The burger was half cold when it arrived afterall. The chicken wings on the other hand were good. They had a nice crunch to it and the meat was tender. It's only around 8$ for 6 pieces too so it's a decent price.
