My boyfriend and I are Lebanese and we love basterma we had it many times in Lebanon and at dinner tables. Today we went to try two sandwiches on flat bread and baguette after watching a lot of advertisement for this place. Biting into our sandwiches was like swallowing loads of salt, we couldn’t get it down. Our stomachs are so bloated and in pain and I feel so queasy and upset by how awful the food was. I’m so sad especially that it’s a beautiful Saturday we had plans for the day and these sandwiches made us feel horrible. I feel worried for the pregnant lady after us who ordered sandwiches I can’t imagine how she’s feeling. I’m really confused I’ve never had basterma that tasted like this before… The lady at the counter was kind and the service was good; the place looks clean and specialized in this production so we’re both very confused by what we swallowed.
