Kamani Fusion Asiatique & Sushi — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

This review was based on our take out order. We have gone to Kamani several times to dine in and we have also ordered take out multiple times. Tonight’s order was ridiculous. We ordered a combo of sushi and a pad Thai plate. Upon getting home we did not get the pad Thai but rather the birds nest. The portion size was ridiculous, there was a small bag with a handful of hard noodles. The Tupperware of grilled chicken and vegetables for the birds nest was fine, but the amount of hard noodles fit in my hand. Not only was it the wrong plate, barely any food but you are charging people 24$ for that. We figured the sushi would make up for the error, except the sushi was just as bad. Most of the rolls were not tight and all the food and rice was falling apart. I’ve never eaten sushi like that. It was as if I ordered from someone’s home kitchen. I’ll never be ordered or visiting this restaurant again. At their prices and service you are better...

Update: I'm switching from 4 stars to 5 stars. Looks like they fixed the issue I mentioned. I had sushi and they did not fall appart when I grabbed them. All ingredients were fresh and delicious. They improved a lot. I will order again.

Nice restaurant! I enjoyed my meal and my experience. Appetizers: Fried calamari was delicious and Louk Sine was ordinary. Maki roll: I tried the Kozi sushi roll. The sushi was falling apart whenever I tried to grab a piece. This indicates that the rice might not have the right ratio of vinegar to sugar. While having this issue, I still enjoyed the taste of the sushi. Specialties: General Tao's Chicken and Orange Chicken were pretty delicious.

After a problem with a nearby pizzeria we came in here for dinner. It was a very fortunate accident. The food was far better than any pizza could ever have wished to be. The service was quick and courteous. The decor is different to other restaurants we have been as well.

All told we were glad to come here and likely will come back again...
