Unfortunately ordered the bruschetta and calamari as appetizers. Very little tomato on the bruschetta breads (which weren't even the proper bread to be used. They were basically mini Costco sandwich breads cut in half…). The calamari’s marinara sauce had a jalapeño in it and tasted more like a fake Mexican salsa…
Then, we were served room temperature wine after receiving our pizzas (margarita and New York) and gnocchi (gorgonzola). Both pizzas were blackened on the bottom. The margarita pizza was literally a cheese pizza with sad little basil strips sprinkled on top… The New York pizza had bacon, supermarket pepperoni, and minced meat (none of which had anything to do with Italian food). The gnocchi sauce was way to reduced…)
It took forever for the waiter… I had better water service in a desert.

Italian restaurants do not fare well in the Montreal area - because they want the prestige French restaurants get. ( They also don"t fare well.) They get cheap - really cheap.
Treat customers like when family comes over to the house for Sunday dinner.
Or we can start bringing in our own $2 dollar pasta box and you can add it to all our meals - Is the message clear enough !
Load the plates and make customers happy - left overs are taken home - customers come back.
Think about it - you want everyone stopping by for a nice full plate of pasta - charge what you charge but load the plate. Over load the plate even - get a big following- word of mouth spreads fast; good or bad.
So goes the cycle.
