We finally decided to check this spot out yesterday. When you're a new Greek restaurant on the block, opening up in laval is a bold move. There is legendary Greek establishments all over the place.
A gyro might be my favorite sandwich of all time. But it remains a sandwich that has very little accouterments (to which it doesn't need). You'll find the odd spot that adds fries, maybe some crumbled feta. But yesterday I had the diavalos style gyro at 7 and wow, did we really ever understand what we were missing out on?? Who knew how well the pickled jalapeños acid cut through the creaminess of that tzatziki !! (Spicy tzatziki). Honestly it was perfect !! The Greek potatoes are so good that it's an actual insult they offer fries. If you go to souvlaki 7 and get French fries, you should immediately get hauled off to jail.
I think these guys are the real deal. Definitely can earn a keep here with the legends. Great service, quant little spot that has modern flair that peeks through!!
Highly recommended!!
(Again Google star system sucks)

Read moreMost of the restaurants on Des Laurentides Blvd are struggling and many are for sale.
So overpricing your food higher than the other thriving Greek restaurants - is a real faux pas.
Look at Miss Taco - the only restaurant that was rocking after 7pm. on the strip.
Pricing accordingly so you can get a bigger volume of customers to allow you to turn over your food to maintain the quality- is the secret sauce.
Look at that Shawarmax - building for sale and business for sale - still trying to sell the meat off the same spinning kebab since the day they opened.
That is one reason no one is going in - the other location on Label is rocking steadily. Called Shawarmaz .
Its not complicated - fix it or you may lose it. I hope you stay open. We can not rely on Vieux Grec having a steady supply of pork doner anymore- they run on a few times a...
Read moreOK, I was really looking forward to order from this restaurant because it seemed like the reviews were really good. To my surprise, this was the complete opposite. I ordered my food delivery. I paid $11 for the smallest portion of life for a tzatziki entrée. It was literally two of those small little cups stacked one on each other. And I’ve never had fried pita??? the french fries were disgusting soggy tasted horrible. The oil was old and dark, and you could taste it. As for the portion size, the chicken pita was good, but maybe a tablespoon or two of chicken in each unbelievably cheaply filled. The side salads vinegar cucumbers? In the end, very disappointing I was really looking forward to it. It looks so good online, but totally disappointed in person. Trust me I know my Greek food and this...
