So tonight, we took our parents out for a birthday and mothers day dinner. As we are from Windsor, we really enjoy Chuck's Roadhouse, but our parents are in Kingsville so we decided to go to the Leamington's Chucks. It was really busy when we got there as it was 7:30 on a Friday night. We were put at a 4 person table where it was extremely cramped. The servers had barely any room to walk between the tables and we were continually bumped everytime they had to go by us. It took a few minutes for the waitress to come to us to take our drink orders, understandably as it was busy. She was not very friendly or personable. Once the drinks came, she took our food orders. At this point the rush seemed to die down and the restaurant cleared out with only a few tables left. My wife went to use the washroom and came back in disgust. 1 of the 3 stalls was out of order, there was toilet paper and paper towel all over the floor. The floor was extremely sticky. In the half hour waiting for the waitress to bring the food to our table, not once did she stop at our table to see how everything was or to refill our drinks, or to apologize or explain about the delay on the food, or even bring me my all you can eat salad. Once the food came, it was luke warm as if it had been sitting under heat lamps for a long time. The salad bowl was only half full. The waitress at this point did ask if we wanted refills but as we still had 1/4 glasses full, we declined for the time being. She did not come to our table once after that to see how everything was or again ask for refills once the glasses were empty. I had to flag her down to get drink refills. 10 minutes later the drinks still had not come nor was I asked if I wanted a refill on my all you can eat salad, so I stopped another waitress and asked to speak to a manager. The manager came out and I explained everything to him and only then did my father's and my beer come out. Not once did the manager apologize for anything or offer to fix the issues, I had to specifically ask for this to be rectified and he said yes and walked away. My father used the restroom only to be just as disgusted with the men's room as my wife was with the woman's restroom. Our waitress came to the table only to argue with my wife and I about her service. She then stormed off and had another server come and clear the table and bring our bill and bring a container for my burger that I have to reheat at home because it was cold when it came to us. My wife still had not received her drink refill. The bill was compensated. As we were leaving, the second waitress was the only one that apologized to us. This had to have been the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. We will not stop going to the Chuck's in Windsor on Tecumseh Rd as they have amazing service and food, but I will never step foot into the Leamington's Chuck's Roadhouse again! Worst...
Read moreMy family (2 adults, 2 kids ages 3 and 1) and our friends (2 adults, 2 kids ages 4 and 1) went to this restaurant Mar 9 while visiting Leamington from out of town. It was by far the worst dining experience we have had. It was not busy, aside from some locals sitting around the bar. We ordered our drinks, which were brought fairly quickly, however the waitress forgot my pop. We waited about half an hour before the waitress was available to take our order. We placed our orders, then waited AN HOUR before flagging down another member of the wait staff. During this time, no one had been by to check on us or refill our drinks. She found our waitress, who came by and said the kitchen is behind and our food should be ready shortly. Still no offer to refill our drinks. After another 20 minutes, our food is brought out. My chucks bacon wrapped steak was cut in two pieces, black, hard and did not have any bacon on it (see attached picture). My fries were lukewarm at best, and the corn was unedible. My husbands meal was fine, and the kids chicken and fries were fine as well. My friends chucks bacon wrapped steak was also cut in two and hard, and his wife's meal was cold and her salmon was unedible. We flagged down the waitress again and told her the issues with the food, and requested to speak with a manager. A manager came by, and took my food, said he would take it off the bill. We complained about the lack of service as well, to which he said they were busy (they weren't), and still didn't offer us refills or something else to eat. We would have just walked out when we saw how terrible the food was, but our kids were beyond hungry and needed to eat. We even had to seek our own ketchup from the bar for the kids fries. We ended up being in the restaurant for 2.5 hours with 4 small, very well behaved kids, and leaving with 3 of 4 adults having not eaten. While our 3 meals were taken off our bills, the lack of service, horrific food at this location (have visited other Chucks and had good experiences), and their inability to apologize made our experience the worst we have ever had at a restaurant. If I could give them...
Read more1st and last time eating here. I've ate at Windsor location several times. Never a bad meal or bad service. Here your served with an attitude until it comes time to pay bill then she wants a bigger tip so she warms up to you. Never I my life have I ever been brought the bill and machine to pay in the middle of eating our food and to stand there waiting for me to pay while I'm eating. Weird. I also hate going to a restaurant and paying $60 for me and my son to eat and we both leave still hungry. I literally had maybe 10 french fries on my plate, you will see by picture I post. The gravy was like eating a blood clot, cold and chunky. My sons fish was over cooked and very greasy although he did get a good portion of fries. When I spoke to manager about small portion size I was told every costumer get 8oz of fries. I said oh you weight the fries, he says yes, I said well if my plate has 8oz of fries then my son plate has 24oz of fries. I was then told you can always order a side of fries. I'm not ordering a side of fries when my plate is $20 for a burger with fries. Come on management, fries are your filler not the appetizer. Everyone knows that. I even mention to manager about my experiences at the windsor location compared to here. Hes says same franchise different owners, different run restaurants. Well they should take lessons from windsor restaurant in food preparation, waiting staff friendliness. I dont reccomend this chuck's location in leamington at all and I will drive to chuck's in Windsor next time. Oh did I mention yet that leamington chucks does not serve or have coleslaw. Unheard of. Windsor has coleslaw. Also 1 more thing. They should clean the high chairs after previous kids use. The high chair was disgusting and full of many previous kids foods, gross. The reason the burger is been eatin is because that is how long it took manager to come to table to see the portion size. The fries were not...
