Gyros and More — Restaurant in Leamington

I LOVE the Essex location of Gyros and More so I decided to try this one out. I’ve been twice now and the first time was awesome. I’m not a fan of the delight sauce on the chicken delight so I ask for mayo. The cook accidentally put delight sauce and remade it the way I wanted even though I said it was okay. So accommodating. The second time was different. The cashier wasn’t that friendly and it was a different cook. I asked for mayo instead of delight sauce like I always do, and it wasn’t an issue until the cook told the cashier that they don’t carry mayo. Confused, I told them that I have gotten it before and they then questioned if I was sure it was that location because they have never carried mayo. My usual spot was closed today, so I ordered G&M from doordash. It was my first time eating here, and most likely will be my last.

First and foremost the food you get for the price just isn't good enough, all and all my meal total was $27 (free delivery, but tipped %15). For that price I got a gyro, "gyro fries" which is $3 more just to add cheese and sauce to your fries, a Ceaser salad which used fake bacon bits, and a drink.

Aside from them using fake bacon bits (which is just a deal breaker for me by itself) the food was just average. The "Gyro Fires" where a huge let down since I was imagining Arby's Gyro Fries when I ordered them. The Gyro itself was fine and if I ever go back there I would ignore the sides entirely.

The food was great the first two times we had it. No issues whatsoever, then the third time we had it, but my husband and I came down with food poisoning. Would rate higher if we weren't vomiting out of both ends...

UPDATE: I've filed a complaint with the Windsor-Essex health unit. The abdominal pains, chills and vomiting is only getting worse. Please do not eat here, save yourself the trouble.

To the staff, for the love of God, please take proper care of your food stations and food storage. You've made two locals...
