We went for a birthday dinner, and will not return. This is for many reasons: Ihop December 13, 2024
The pancakes were cold and the insides were raw. You can see in the one picture that we took some of the inside out and could squish it in my fingers like a cookie batter dough. The ham tasted sour, as if it is past expiry. The sausage was only cooked on the top half. The bottom half looked as if it did not even touch heat. It appeared as if the links were put in a pan or on a griddle, then never turned. The consistency felt raw. The bacon was extremely overcooked, to the point that it crumbled in your fingers. The hashbrowns had a taste and consistency that suggest they were left over from earlier in the day and were simply reheated, causing them to have that taste as well as an overcooked chewiness to them. Even the egg whites were not cooked. Now we know why the food arrived so quickly. It was brought to us before it was even finished cooking. It was only a couple of minutes, not even 5 minutes. We first thought it was because there was only one other table (with 2 people already eating). Maybe these reasons are why it was empty at 5:30 p.m. on a Friday. The partition glass between booths was covered in food, smears, and I assume cream. The top rail was black with dirt and grime. We brought up the raw food, and weren't even offered a discount or apology. Now, as I write this, my stomach is turning, my son is on one toilet, my daughter is on another, and my wife is in fear that she can not wait to get in when the kids finish.
This was a terrible meal for a birthday. We didn't expect fancy, but we did at least expect the food to be cooked. A hundred dollars for a few plates of uncooked food is ridiculous.
As an ironic bonus, even the receipt printer does not seem to want to work all the way either. It only printed out the right side of the receipt in full, with the left side only being printed out halfway. Seems to be...
Read moreWent in for Brunch with the family about 1:30pm. Place was empty maybe 2 tables. Started out ok server Lemuel came over took our drink order 3 Pepsi and a Diet Pepsi. Took awhile for the drinks and do not think Lemuel ever heard of a tray, took 2 trips. Had grandson there, never offered crayons, coloring or even ask about a drink. Placed our orders, food took forever. I ordered the Biscuit Combo. Gravy was just gross not seasoned, this item should not be on the menu if they do not know how to make the gravy. Order was under cooked, eggs were to be over medium hashbrowns and sausage were under cooked. Server Lemuel was nowhere to be seen, never checked our food, cleared any plates or did any refills. When Lemuel did finally come and ask it was too late. Lemuel took the dish and commented I have other tables when told he is suppose to check on his table.. Rude Rude Rude .. As I said was only 2 tables when we arrived. He brought 1 refill but came from behind as if sneaking up and dropped it off and ran away. I had to ask other employees who were cleaning because it was not busy for 2 take home containers. I also asked to talk to the manager once my family went out to the car to avoid a big scene. The manager came to the table where I had to tell her twice I will talk to her later. Server Lemuel is the worse server I have ever had, was incompetent, rude and gave attitude. Maybe time for a new manager as this server should never have been. Manager did not listen very well either as had to twice tell her I would...
Read moreReally good pancakes but my friend and I were in a bit of a hurry and we went there at a very non peak time. In saying that it took forever to get our simple orders. I had to flag someone down and ask about it and I believe our server had gone on a break. By the time I got my pancakes I basically had enough time to Wolf down about half of them and then run to my appointment.
I am not quite sure why but this seems common in restaurants where if you're the only ones in the restaurant they still make you wait a minimum of a half an hour to 45 minutes regardless of what you order. This happens to me regularly and I find it extraordinarily annoying and disrespectful of my time.
If it wasn't for making me late for my appointment needlessly I would have probably given them 4.5 out of 5 stars. Going on a break without making sure your customers are taken care of is unacceptable, or has the case may be having a table handled off to you while someone goes on a break and then ignoring them and their order is also unacceptable.
That and they we're out of berry syrup and from the way our server said it it sounded like that was not uncommon. That might sound like a small thing but when I order berry pancakes I kind of like berry syrup to go with it.
Regardless even without the berry syrup they were delicious and I enjoyed them very much even if I did have to Wolf down and only had time to eat half of them. (But I'm...
