Memory Express Computers Lethbridge — Local services in Lethbridge

Willing to change this if they do the right thing here, but I have had a terrible experience.

I bought a $300 motherboard here. I assembled the build myself, and it wouldn't POST. I don't have the parts necessary to troubleshoot what the issue was, so I paid $55 for their technician to troubleshoot for me (after I had been told they would do this for me free of charge since I bought the board there).

I had to chase them down for answers as I never received calls within the timeline promised. When I did get a hold of them, the technician said that I had caused physical damage to the board by using "the wrong screws". He then called back and said I had damaged all of my mainboard parts by doing this, and I ought to buy new parts and start from scratch.

When I went to pick the parts up, I asked to be shown the physical damage I had supposedly caused. Attached is a photo of ONE scuff mark I can see that I could have caused (though it's as likely the removal of the screw by the technician could have caused this..) WITHIN the screwhole. When I asked to be shown the damage I caused to the board itself, I was told that you would not be able to see the damage, requiring a specialized microscope to see.

This was a good opportunity for this store to demonstrate goodwill and offer an exchange on a very likely DOA product. But instead the process felt like they intended to gouge as much money out of me as possible, to the detriment of their customer service.

I will give 2 stars because while the service itself was not good, the staff was at least friendly throughout the process, including when I was a bonehead and thought I had not been given back the rest of my parts they have put into a baggie for me and showed me the camera tape to ensure they had not made a mistake on their end. Turns out I had left the bag in my car overnight like a meathead.

However, until they do the right thing and replace this board for me I cannot in good conscience recommend you purchase your parts here as their return policy has been very insufficient for expensive computer components.

Edit: Management has doubled down on this issue. Thankfully I never bought my other parts here or I'd be out more than $300. Other retailers have had no problem offering an exchange on DOA products. I recommend you stick with other retailers for your component needs given this terrible experience I have had here.

Had an absolutely amazing experience at Memory Express Lethbridge!

I set out to build a custom PC for my son who is in school for Animation and Concept Art, I needed a decent PC to handle the types of programs he would be using.

From my first arrival to the store, until my final departure of the store a few days later, the service was nothing short of exceptional!

The first gentleman I encountered was so kind as to put a graphics card aside for me, as I had been searching everywhere for it, and finally found it in store. Thank you for that! Phew. Then I met Lucky, who bent over backwards to accommodate me with every single question, concern I had. I needed this shipped to my son in Vancouver, and he helped me to figure out the best way to go about this PLUS with all of my purchases for this build. The second young man I encountered was the one who would be building my PC for me. So incredibly knowledgeable! He went through everything with me! Found out the best components to get to coincide with everything I wanted this PC to have. He went so far as to recommend components that were better AND less expensive to me!

My experience with the Team at Memory Express Lethbridge was nothing short of Amazing! The collaboration of all three guys was incredible! A huge shout out to all three gentlemen that helped me through this entire process!!

I highly recommend anyone who is need of any computer concerns to go here! They will guide you through any need you have! The service was top notch!

Finally we have a worthwhile computer parts store in Lethbridge.

I was shocked to find out that Lethbridge has been getting stock of GeForce 5080 & 5090 cards. I was even more surprised when Memory Express allows you to purchase online with pickup in store so you can reserve these precious cards. Personally been waiting to get my hands on a reliable GPU after the horror stories of buying online. After securing my precious GPU I had an objective of building a new gaming pc with a specific budget and general expectations. Christian C helped guide me through components and offered amazing recommendations. Instead of going over budget he kept the purchase sensible and had the knowledge and facts to back it up.
