Me and my spouse ordered 2 meals and 2 drinks. coke and root beer. I immediately detected they both tasted off. After I got our food I tried again and could tell they were both flat. They had ZERO carbonation to them. Our server never checked on us so 5 minutes later while she was walking to another table I brought this to her attention. Our drinks were still nearly full. I asked if these are supposed to be flat with no carbonation for some reason and she said no they should taste like pop should taste. She said she would investigate why they are flat and get back to me. 15 minutes go by and she never got back to us despite helping numerous new and existing customers. During this time I wasn’t about to sit around waiting so we continued eating and had to drink the flat drinks. She eventually came back and asked if we are done. I again (2nd time) asked her about these drinks and why they’re flat with literally zero carbonation in them. She sounded surprised. She came back with our bills and I asked if she was going to remove the drinks from the bill as they effectively flat pop. She said no she won’t take them off the bill. I didn’t bother arguing it as I didn’t want to be “that person”. We paid and left. I would have been content if she just didn’t charge for the drinks because they were the same as leaving an open pop out for 4 days. Nobody likes that. I would have preferred water if I knew this is what you serve for pop there. Not only that, but during our entire stay there not once, not a single time, did the server check on us to see if there was anything wrong with our food, nor to even offer a refill for our drinks (which would have prompted me to bring the drinks up again being a problem, but if the drinks were fine the server basically wouldn’t have permitted us to have any refills as she did not check on us). I’m confused if I’m supposed to go behind the bar and get my own drinks or if the server is supposed to do it like at other restaurants. In addition, other complaints, as mentioned above, the server never checking on us or even asking if we would like refills. Most restaurants offer free refills on pop. You charge $4 each and your glasses are significantly smaller than what I’m used to at other restaurants. Your drink situation was just all round a disaster as well as the server.
Normally I don’t complain but this experience was all around just bad in every aspect. On top of the drinks and the server ignoring us, there were other issues. The chicken strips were soggy and may not have actually been fully cooked. They were chewy. The tables don’t have napkins or napkin dispensers so instead you only get 1 single napkin each. As the waitress ignored us I couldn’t ask for more unless I went up to the bar to ask somebody who works up there so I didn’t bother.
Overall, the food, drinks, and service were all terrible. I’ve never had such a bad experience at a sit down restaurant before. I hope the $8 for the 2 pops, and skimping out on napkins for customers, is worth the profit as opposed to having me come back.
I won’t be going back to any Ricky’s based on this experience.
Please note it was not busy while we were there so I don't understand why the server could not resolve the situation after numerous requests and why the server refused to check on us during our visit.
UPDATE After the owner requested I reach out to them to investigate further, I e-mailed them offering the assistance. The owner responded merely restating what they said in their reply on Google Reviews and nothing more. No offers on how to resolve the experience. I feel their response to my complaint here was merely to appear attentive to other readers, but in reality they did not extend any offerings to resolve the issue. Don't be fooled by their response. They do not ask you to email them to resolve it. It's just to make them appear on here to be attentive to the complaint.
I will say it again. I hope the $8 for 2 flat pops and the money for soggy chicken strips...
Read moreI’ve been to Ricky’s multiple times without issue. However, this last one makes me hesitant to return, or order from there again.
I ordered through skip for breakfast for me and my partner. When the food arrived, I was missing my whole breakfast. All of it. So I called Ricky’s to rectify and have my breakfast, that I paid for, brought to me. This is where the issues began.
Since Ricky’s was clearly the one who messed up the order, (proper order number on bag) I thought that they would have one made and sent out right away. However they told me to go to the skip app, get my order refunded, and if I wanted to have the breakfast I ordered, I would have to order on the app again.
I was refunded my food that was missing no problem (thanks skip). However, they do not refund delivery and tip. ($9.79 without tax). Which is why i called Ricky’s directly to rectify the problem. So being told to order again is out of the question. I would have to pay delivery, tip again and wait for another 45 minutes to receive it.

I ordered the California salad and received rotten lettuce in the salad , I placed it to the side of my plate and when the waitress came to the table to collect our plates at the end of our meals I pointed it out to her and she just smiled and said oh I guess I'll have the kitchen check through the lettuce before they plated it and that was it. Her service was I would say pretty mediocre. And never came back to ask us if our meal was good as we were eating it and never asked to see if we wanted refills on our beverages I was quite disappointed as this was a day I was celebrating my birthday. I have always had really good food and service in the past but today was an absolute disappointment and especially. It was my birthday I will never never come back to this restaurant again and word-of-mouth can be a good thing and in this case it is a bad thing I will make sure to tell each and every person that I know to never come to this establishment!!!!
