Thai Express Lethbridge — Restaurant in Lethbridge

I have to say, this was not the same experience I've had at Thai express in other locations. I am in town traveling and I have allergies so Thai express is usually a safe bet. I go there often in other provinces and have never had bad food or service at any other location before. I paid for extra chicken and tofu this time but my food had less chicken than it usually does when I don't pay for extra. Last week I ordered extra tofu in another location and had 8 pieces on top and this one only had 4. There was barely any chicken. The guy working was kind but not attentive. He was all alone so I understand he was busy but I feel like there is usually a higher standard at Thai express. My noodles were dry and the tofu was burnt. I am not blaming anyone as I am a business owner myself and know how it's hard when they are short staffed, however just a note that I've never had a bad experience at any Thai express until today. My meal was disappointing after being excited to find something safe to eat. I've probably eaten at 20+ other locations and multiple times as well. This is a Thai Fastfood place. The menu may appear complex, but the staff who took our order at the counter helped us, and it was simple to choose from. I ordered the Thai fried rice with shrimp and since it’s a combo meal, it came with steamed dumplings and a soda. I enjoyed the fried rice as it was very yummy and flavorful, but I couldn’t say the same with the steamed dumplings. The dumplings came in a plastic cup with some green onions and some kind of sauce, but the worse is it was made to be served cold which was not what I expected (and it tasted unpleasant too). Hubby ordered the Basi stir fry with chicken, a combo meal which came with 1 pc of fried egg roll. We also ordered the Tom Yum soup which came with noodles, as it was a noodle dish. Although hubby said he surprisingly enjoyed his meal, he can only give the food place a 3 star rating. Food is ok. This location is terrible. Ordered through the app twice. First time had to stand in line 10 min behind ordering customers just to pick up an order that was sitting there when I arrived. What's the point of ordering ahead???? Second time went to pick up an order and the restaurant was closed. Google said they were open and the app didn't give any clue that I'd be charged for an order I couldn't pick up. Waited a few days to see if the charge would be refunded. Nope.
