I AM NOT HAPPY AND ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE BAD AND RUDE ATTITUDE AND SERVICE I RECEIVED from Manager TINA, WHO Has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO RESPECT TOWARDS HER OWN COLLEAGUE From this particular MCDONALD'S STORE #11147, located at 9291 Markham Road/Highway 48, Markham, Ontario. Incident happened on Sunday, June 15, 2024 at 9:45am. My husband and I ordered 5 full Combo Sausage and Egg Muffin Breakfasts came with 4 coffees and one tea, but teabag and sugars on the side + we also ordered one Happy Meal Hotcakes & Yog +toy+ Orange Juice. On top of the above, we also ordered 6 Hashbrowns + one Extra Sausage. We also told them we would like to have napkins, 6 ketchups and one stir stick. When our order# was called, My husband and I went up to the counter to get our breakfasts, sure enough, like many previous times from this location, Happy Meal Toy, Orange Juice and my Tea weren't in the package. The girl who served us gave us the 3 missing items. I told the girl I also need ketchups and napkins for the 6 Combo Breakfasts and 6 Hashbrowns. She gave us only 2 ketchups and 2 napkins. She ignored us when I told her I needed 4 more ketchups and napkins and she went on to serve the next customer. I was patiently telling the girl she hasn't finished serving us why is she calling the next customer. At this time a guy manager (I didn't get his name) came over, apologized to us. He was very nice and he was going to give us the ketchups and napkins, while talking to us, TINA, another manager came over and told the male manager to SHUT-UP BECAUSE SHE'S TAKING OVER THE CASE. I WAS APPALLED BY HER ATTITUDE WITH NO RESPECT TOWARDS HER OWN COLLEAGUE. THE WAY SHE TALKED TO ME WITH HER RAISED VOICE. I TOLD HER WHY SHE HAS TO RAISE HER VOICE, HER RAISED VOICE TACTICS WOULDN'T SCARE ME AND DON'T TRY TO TALK ME DOWN. SHE ALSO TOLD ME I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO TALK TO HER BECAUSE I CAN NOT TALK TO THE GUY MANAGER. She was making a scene for herself Or maybe that's what she wants to tell the other customers "DO NOT COMPLAINT JUST SHUT UP, ORDER AND LEAVE" Because I could see that morning, most of the customers are older Asians and they don't speak fluent English!!! If I was TINA, I would apologize very politely, sincerely and diplomatically to the me on behalf of the girl server and then give me the missing ketchups and napkins, then everything is fine and finished. No, she has to talk you down and created a scene for herself. SHE IS A BULLY!!! If there's a 0 Star, I would have given A 0 STAR TO THIS MACDONALD'S BECAUSE OF TINA. I TOLD TINA I AM GOING TO WRITE A GOOGLE REVIEW ON HER SHE CHALLENGED ME AND TOLD ME TO GO AHEAD!!! SHE HAS GIVEN ME A BAD TASTE TOWARDS MACDONALD'S, I WOULD NEVER EAT AT ANY MACDONALD'S AGAIN!!! I HAVE TOLD ALL MY RELATIVES, FRIENDS AND NEIGHBOURS NOT TO BUY FROM THIS MACDONALD'S LOCATION, BUT TO GO TO THE MACDONALD'S AT MCCOWAN AND HIGHWAY 7, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXCELLENT AND ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! Did the Unqualified, No Customer Service and Extremely Rude Manager TINA Give me the 4 ketchups and the 4 napkins I requested? NO!!! They even FORGOT to give me the Teabag and Sugar that I have Requested to put on the side! While I was waiting for my order, there was another customer walked in with her order and saying they have received one medium fries short. This time, it was their 4th time given me short of my order. The other 3 times, I already brought the order home, never border to call the restaurant or to write a review or complain!!! Warning! Our visit took place at 22:00 (10:30PM) on a Saturday.
The first issue was the immeasurable drive-through line. Although the inside of the restaurant was considerably bare, the drive-through still moved at a pace akin to that of an elderly tortoise. Over 30 minutes were spent inside the drive through and with the design of this particular drive-through, we were unable to leave it after realizing it's pace.
Upon reaching the microphone, the person who took our order appeared to have a hearing issue. We had to repeat our orders twice, each time very slowly enunciating our particular choices. This may have been a main reason for the major delays within the line itself.
To top off this excruciating visit (hats off to the employees for achieving such a feat!) upon arriving at the window to pick up our meals we had to ask for napkins, ketchup and sweet and sour sauce (although we ordered a 10 piece nugget meal and specified at the microphone when asked, SWEET N SOUR).
Our order was a McChicken Combo and a 10 Piece Chicken Nugget Combo. Each came with drink, typical of a COMBO. But, the extremely dense employees of this location failed to include straws (what do they expect, open drinks in a moving vehicle?) and not only that, but the nugget combo did not come with any dipping sauce. This is AFTER we asked the person at the window for the sauce and were specifically told "It's already in the bag!".
No doubt if this person were counting the hours for their paycheck they wouldn't hesitate to complain over an hour less! Shows how much these kids care about their customers, I hope they are able to learn how to hopefully pay more attention in their future endeavours.
In short, unless you're desperate, do not visit this location around the day/time I mentioned. If you happen to be so unlucky, save yourself some considerable travel time and enter the restaurant itself. Your luck may turn out better than ours.

Read moreI gave 3 stars overall for this McDonald's location. Mostly because the overall service and other attributes of the restaurant is hit and miss depending on when you go and what you ask for. Sometimes you get a hot great meal with good service and no problems. Other times, you get a cold meal where your food is put together like a monkey did it where you need to open the package, let's say burger as an example, and you need to recenter the burger and the toppings on it. Also you'll get fries that are both too salty and too cold and should've been thrown away but we're given to you instead. When this occurs, it's not worth the meals that are now pricey for a fast food restaurant. It also is a huge inconvenience because most of the time most people are getting McDonald's as a quick meal on the road. So trying to have to put together your food properly on the road is annoying, dangerous, and obviously inconvenient. Whenever I go to this McDonald's, I need to explicitly the person taking my order to make sure that everything, the whole order and sides, to be made absolutely fresh and that I'll be perfectly fine waiting for them to make everything fresh. That's the only way to get a good meal from this McDonald's. It's unfortunate but true. That is why I gave the service only 3 stars but I wish there was an option to give it 2.5 stars as that's what the category for this location deserves.
The staff is generally nice, however, sometimes you get people who just aren't really customer pleasers and just want to get through their shift. I understand that one just wants to get through their shift, but at the same time, employees could at least say thank you or hello. It's again a hit and miss scenario.
