La Piazzetta Magog — Restaurant in Magog

Wow, EXTRA STARTS ARE NEEDED, I must say, the one young lady that served us last night Wednesday August 26th did an amazing job for being alone in the front of the house. My daughter and I on vacation was just looking for a bite to eat and wanted some good pizza for dinner after an exhausting day, we did get a great a meal and amazing service with a smile even under the circumstances of being alone. Ya it did take longer than expected but being alone for 20 tables, undertaking the as the host, bar maid, bar back, bus person, cleaning table and did I mention taking and serving order all alone was an exceptional done by her and the smile, not an once of unhappiness was very refreshing. The owner was cooking alone in the kitchen and what looked to be his young son helping where he could, I had asked why only her and no one to help, we’ll she explained with COVID-19 it’s very hard to find people that want to work, understand the situation, I happy thank her for keeping her smile and professional poise in a busy late dinner with guests lined up waiting patiently for a table, we settled the invoice and gave her a little extra for her hard professional work, I believe the extra tip was fully with it after a great meal and especially amazing service. Please people, take in to account the people that are busting them selves in these conditions at this time. I dined here two nights while vacationing in Magog. The restaurant is located in the downtown core, and parking in the area is plentiful. The food was exceptional both in quality and value for money.

Whenever I travel solo I'm always conscious about being ignored by wait staff. This wasn't the case with my waitress, Helene, who was both attentive and prompt. The decor is sophisticated without being stuffy, and the music and decor contribute to a very pleasant dining experience. As for the menu, there are many options to accommodate different tastes.

One thing I especially appreciated, being a unilingual anglophone with a limited command of French, was how welcoming I was made. Having a menu in English was very much appreciated.

I fell in love with Magog, and the next time I return La Piazzetta will definitely be on my list of...

Absolutely rude. We went in on time with our reservation that had been made for a table by the window. We get there. Two tables are empty by the window and they try to tell us they don't have one exactly at the window, that it isn't guaranteed etc...They never told us last night that it wasn't guaranteed and furthermore when we suggested that they tell whoever shows up after us that the window seat "isn't guaranteed " they had the eye rolls and the attitude and insisting their other clients had reserved before us etc...and STILL they kept acting like the alternative was close enough, good enough... They never said that spot was not guaranteed and we were on time. NO GOOD REASON for...
