Si Senor, Maple Ridge

Had a disappointing experience with take out today. We have had a few good dine in experiences recently and ordered take out this evening. We placed a $100 take out order and when we got home found out that they had not given us chips to eat the guacamole with. I know that I definitely ordered “guacamole and chips”. I knew that this would not be fixable tonight but was shocked at the owners response to me when I phoned in to let them know they were missing.

He said that maybe his waitress misheard me but we weren’t charged for the chips so it doesn’t matter. (They don’t give itemized receipts so I dont even know if this is true). I said it does matter as that’s what we use to eat the guacamole and when we spend that much on a meal we hope to be able to receive the food we order and be able to enjoy it. I was surprised that he didn’t understand why this impacted our ability to enjoy our meal and told me it was fine as we didn’t pay for the chips. I would have been happy if he had offered us the guacamole on the house the next time we came and enjoyed another meal there soon. Food is usually really good from here. The reason for the 3 stars - I have been ordering from here for a couple years and always get the same thing: a quesadilla. It has always come with salsa and sour cream. All of a sudden they stopped including the sour cream. I ordered a few months ago and requested the sour cream with the quesadilla. They said it would cost extra and I said that was fine. I was charged and paid extra…order arrived with no sour cream. I called them to tell them and the answer was “sorry, we’re busy”. No efforts to rectify the situation at all. Tonight I thought I would try again. Same thing…I specifically requested sour cream on the side and the order arrived with none. I will not be dining here again. It may seem small, but it really makes or breaks the eating experience…especially when you have paid extra and made a specific request. And especially because 2 chicken quesadillas came to $40. Absolutely not worth it. I’ve ordered a quesadilla from many many restaurants and have yet to come across one that does not come...
