I would love to rate this restaurant higher. Unfortunately, they were ridiculously unprofessional.
I place an order for delivery. They take my order and are very polite. He confirms my address and phone number, and finishes by telling me it would be there in about 45 minutes. I confirmed they have debit at the door, told them what color my house was...
After an hour and a half, I call back wondering were the delivery person is. A different person answers and tells me I'm mistaken, the restaurant doesn't do delivery and I must have placed an order with a different place. I told her I pressed redial and called the only other number I called the whole day. I'm holding their menu, which clearly states they do indeed deliver and that I've called the right place. After four or five minutes waiting, she puts me through to the gentleman I placed the order with...
He told me they deliver but that no one has placed an order. I assertively reminded him of my order, repeating my questions and his answers. And suddenly he remembers that I exist. He clearly didn't even put the order in. He apologizes guiltily.
I wait for him to offer a solution. Instead he waffles, humming and hawing while I sit there waiting silently. I said this was super unprofessional, and that it seems my only recourse is to write them the review online that they deserve.
This is that review.
They screwed up, and couldn't solve the issue professionally. Some of their staff don't even know they deliver.
I'm sure the food is fine though, judging by folks who actually got their order...
Read moreFound a deal from this restaurant on an app called Mobile Bandit and came to this restaurant on Sunday April 21st for take out. The deal was two can dine meaning you can order two menu items and get the second one for 50% off. When I walked in and showed the server the deal, I was told that it was not how it works. First he said Lamb Biryani is not considered a menu item, which was BS and he knew it. Then he came back and told me that deal was dine in only, which was another BS because there is another deal for $10 off once you spend more than $30, and that one specifically says dine in only while this one does not, and I knew it well because it was not the first time for me to use one of these deals and I always carefully read the fine print. At that point, I realized this guy was just going to give BS after BS to screw me over and I did not feel like dealing with that anymore, so I just paid the full amount and left. Having said that, it will be the very last time I go to this restaurant. No matter how the food tastes, this restaurant is simply not an honest business and people have to realize that before they get screwed over themselves. This restaurant simply does not deserve any star whatsoever, and it is sad that I have to give it one in order to...
Read moreI went to Mapleleaf Indian Cuisine a few nights ago for dinner with my wife. We both enjoyed the food. She had butter chicken and I had chicken curry. We also order a veggie samosa and fish pakoras for appetizers. It took an appropriate amount of time for the food to be prepared fresh and cooked well. Some restaurants make me question how they can get the food out so quickly. Mapleleaf was quick but not too quick if you know what I mean.
The veggie samosa was great! Not greasy at all and I really liked the chunks of potato in the filling. The fish pakoras were also good and not greasy. I didn't get the name of the green sauce but I really liked it with the pakoras. The tarter sauce wasn't something I was expecting from an Indian restaurant but it tasted good. I still preferred the green sauce though.
The main course was good but keep in mind that you need to order rice as a side dish. My only complaint was that I thought the rice dish was a little on the small side. We did order a second rice dish. Other than that the rest of the food was very tasty. We both were asked how spicy and we both ordered medium spice. For us it was very good. I would go back and try some...
