I have been a regular customer at Bamiyan Kabob for the past one to two years, drawn initially by their flavorful dishes and seemingly warm atmosphere. For quite some time, this restaurant was my go-to spot for both casual dinners and special occasions, as the food quality and service were commendable. However, my recent experiences have left me extremely disappointed and frustrated, to the point where I can no longer justify dining there. Over the past few months, the standards at Bamiyan Kabob have drastically declined, and what was once a reliable and enjoyable dining experience has become a source of distress and disappointment. On multiple occasions, I have found hair in my food, which is utterly unacceptable and unhygienic. Each time, I brought this issue to the attention of the staff, hoping for a resolution or at least an acknowledgment of the problem, but the responses were either dismissive or half-hearted apologies that failed to address the underlying issues.
Additionally, on two separate visits, I discovered pieces of plastic in my meal. This not only ruined my dining experience but also posed a serious health risk. The first time it happened, I was shocked and hoped it was a one-off incident. However, when it happened again, it became clear that there is a severe lack of quality control and proper hygiene practices in the kitchen. Each incident has eroded my trust in the restaurant's ability to maintain basic food safety standards. I cannot overlook the carelessness and negligence that must be present for such contaminants to repeatedly end up in customers' meals. Despite giving the restaurant multiple chances to improve, the situation has only worsened, leaving me with no choice but to conclude that this establishment no longer values its customers or their health.
The consistent presence of hair and plastic in the food indicates a broader issue that goes beyond occasional mistakes. It points to a fundamental problem in how the restaurant is managed and how seriously it takes food safety protocols. This repeated carelessness shows a lack of respect for customers who expect and deserve clean, safe meals. It's incredibly disappointing because Bamiyan Kabob used to be a place I looked forward to visiting, a place that promised good food and a pleasant dining experience. But now, it has become synonymous with disappointment and frustration. Therefore, after my latest disappointing visit, I have decided that I will never dine at Bamiyan Kabob again. It's a shame to see a place I once enjoyed deteriorate to this extent, and I can no longer justify spending my money on a restaurant that consistently fails to meet basic standards of cleanliness and food safety. For these reasons, I must regrettably inform others to steer clear of Bamiyan Kabob until they can prove they have rectified these serious issues and regained the trust of...
Read moreI recently came to this location in Markham and simply would state that I will never return again.
Number 1 I arrived at the location and was lookong at the menu book and when I chose what I wanted and then the cashier told me a price that didn't match what I saw and said there must be a mistake as the price doesn't match. Then a man who looked like the main guy came and said oh the prices on the menu are old from 4 years ago. I was like that's actually not my problem and if your prices have changed you need to mark that price has been changed not when thr cashier puts it in. When I told him if they changed 4 years ago how you running this place. Secondly notify the customer in a polite manner of thr price change mark it in your menu. The individual was rude with me and just started talking back to me. I didn't have time to argue so I just ordered.
Once my food came It was prepared for take out when I stated that I was dining in, again I was like what the heck csnt they follow instructions. Then to top. It off I had a specific request in the order not to put one of the sauce on the food as I have allergies. So when I opened my food I see the sauce is on the food and there was errors in my order. So again I go to the person at cash to tell them and they like ok what do you want us to do like as if they are bloody clueless. I am like fix it and give me another as this one is not what I ordered. They like we csnt and then started talking to thr guy in thr back again cooking and then thr cashier comes back and says ok wait we will fix have a seat. So I went back to my eat wait there 15 minutes and I'm like what's going on. I go back to thr cashier and day ok what's happening I'm still waiting and she's like waiting for what. I'm like for my food you were going to remake it, and she acts clueless again saying nah and started talkong to the guy in the back again, who then comes out and starts SHOUTING at me and slandering me and saying you are nothing but a pain and since I walked in you been causing issues. All I said calmly is excuse me that's not the way you speak to customers and number one your prices are not matching so if I see a mistake and u over charge me I have the right to say and if my food is not correct the hell I am going to say it.. I told him to have respect for customers and stop shouting and he just kept shouting more and told me never to return. Well one thing is for sure I will not return to a place that has zero respect for customers and to a person who is arrogant rude and has zero respect. I give this place zero stars if I could. Also the quality of food has gone down completely.
I don't recommend this place at least this location if you want good afghan food go to. Kandahar or...
Read moreHi, I have always been a big fan of this Markham location of Bamiyan. My family and I come here often to enjoy food. I have always told family friends that the consistency of the food here has always been great. However, this two star rating is based on yesterday's lunch experience which was very miserable and unpleasant...Mantoo is my favourite dish to have at Bamiyan. I always order this often and have never had any complaints until yesterday. There wasn't any particular rush either so I really don't understand what happened. At first when I took the first bite something did seem off to me but then I ignored it because I was really hungry and thought it might be my imagination. Then after a few more bites I was absolutely certain that my meal was not fresh. First of all when this meal is ready it is so hot but in this case it was cold (like it had been defrosted). Also the yogurt white type sauce on top was sour and off tasting. The ground meat mixture inside was smelly and gone bad. My mom loves the salmon dinner meal and last time we came it was very tasty. However, this time my mom thought it was a bit smelly (fish usually is but if cooked properly then it does not smell bad) and not as well cooked and tasty as it usually is. Basically when something like this happens, especially when one is hungry, then your appetite is ruined and you lose it and don't feel like eating much. The girl at the counter asked me if I wanted an exchange for anything else on the menu but I didn't honestly want anything at that point. My lunch was ruined. I didn't take a refund either. However, my feedback to this restaurant manager and staff is that it only takes one bad meal to create a ripple effect of a restaurant's downfall because now and then you will think its okay to serve a meal this way. I or any other customer could have gotten food poisoning. Please keep your consistency of fresh and delicious food and don't let the...
