Had my daughter's first birthday party here. We booked the restaurant side of the venue on September 28th for October 30th. We selected the venue because it was spacious for our group and gave the owner our deposit. Three days before the party we confirmed the number with the owner and he told us based on our numbers he would put us in the "banquet room". Told us it was spacious and could accommodate 100 comfortably. Our group was of 56 individuals, which included about 20 kids. We arrived at the venue on the day of the party and he took us to the "banquet room". When we arrived we saw that the room was tiny compared to the restaurant which we initially booked. To think that this so called "banquet room" could fit 100 people is ridiculous. During covid you would think the owner would possess the common sense to be concerned about the well-being of his patrons and not try to crowd them in a tiny room with 56 people. When he was confronted about this he got defensive and repeated it could hold 100 people. He started getting rude with us because he knew our guests would be arriving in a few hours. The owner has horrible customer service. He does not value customers once he has your deposit. The food was another issue. The buffet was refilled only when items ran completely out rather refilling them when they were running low causing guests to feel there wouldn't be enough food so they took less than they desired. We booked the venue until 11pm and the owner felt a need to tell me at 9pm we only had it till 10:30pm. Had to remind him of what time we agreed to. At 10:30pm a staff member came to me at the direction of the owner to let me know that the owner wanted me to settle the bill. He tried to charge me an additional $125 for a speaker he said would initially be free to use because the restaurant we originally booked had a TV we were going to use for audio purposes. As you can tell I had a very bad experience. I strongly suggest that you do not book this venue for any function. If you do decide to disregard my warning, make sure you get everything you agree to in writing. The owner will try to nickel and dime you every...
Read moreWent here a couple days ago and didn’t enjoy the experience at all. The food was alright however the service wasn’t. We wanted to order from the menu instead of the lunch buffet even after the waiter/host insisted on the buffet several times even after explaining to him we just wanted to order from the menu and dine in. We ordered from a menu that was apparently the take out menu and not the dine in menu because the host didn’t think it was his responsibility to inform us or hand us the dine in menu upon telling him that we were going to eat there. After paying the bill we realized that they had charged us more than what was written on the menu we had ordered from and when questioned the host said it was because that’s the price taken from the dine in menu. Even after confronting the host regarding this confusion, instead of apologizing for not giving us the right menu he instead defended himself telling us that we should’ve known and that we should just be happy about the food and leave with a smile. I couldn’t care less about the extra money I’d spent but I’m extremely disappointed with the service and the host trying to take advantage of customers not realizing the difference between the two menus. Won’t come back here and will not recommend this place to my...
Read moreVERY DISAPPOINTING. Promises were not kept. Before paying the deposit (3 months in advance) Amar was very pleasant and promised a lot but once the money was paid he was a different person. A contract was drawn and signed by Amar Chauhan in September, but one week before the event, he withdrew and said he overlooked the contents (after signing). Black tablecloths, table # holders, rate for kids below 9 (all mentioned in the contract and signed) were withdrawn. The side door was supposed to be closed but people were walking in and out for take outs during the party!! Till my son objected. The food wasn't refilled. We had brought saanas ( rice dumplings to be served with sorpotel) and found the bowl empty. Initially, we were told they were all over, but mysteriously, the bowl was filled. I had to go and serve the guests who had not received any. There was a lot of gravy but no chicken pieces in the butter chicken and no koftas in the malai kofta curry. Had to bring it to the attention of the staff for a refill. Amar said that he taught the HOST chef how to cook. But the taste, hospitality and service cannot compare to the HOST. I have to mention that the bartender, Joe, was cheerful and did a good job. The...
