We've been to this restaurant twice - mostly because we liked the food here. It's a good meet up place between my friend in the west end and myself in the east end.
Service this time was really good. Seeing that I was wearing oxygen, our server (Alexandra?) put us as far away as possible from the hooka smokers so that I wouldn't be bothered. I didn't even ask, but she just thought we would be more comfortable. I really appreciated that.
Our server was very attentive, but didn't invade our space while we were chatting and catching up. She offered suggestions from the menu and when I told her I had dietary restrictions, she tried to find something that I could enjoy for dessert that wouldn't affect my stomach (I had the baklava which was enough for 1 person). Even after I couldn't have coffee/tea/hot chocolate, she offered me warm water with lime just so I could have something warm.
I had the shish tawook wrap. The wrap was a saj wrap so it wasn't huge, but just the right amount of food for me. A grown man might need 2 of the wraps. The chicken was juicy and there were large pieces throughout. I really love their toum. It was a great addition on the side! My friend had the mixed shawarma late and it was a huge portion! She wasn't able to finish the entire thing and had to take it home.
The restaurant is very clean and welcoming. We can see the grill from the dining area, as well as other food areas. You can see the staff handling food in a very clean and safe way.
Surprisingly for lunch on Monday, it had enough people. It seems to be popular for the hooka smoking as well.
Overall, we will probably meet here again because it's convenient and the food is good. It was a great lunch...
Read moreI have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant in my life. From the moment we sat down, the attitude of the staff—particularly our server (I believe her name was Maral)—was shockingly rude and dismissive. We arrived well before closing, the kitchen was still open, and food was actively being served to other tables. Yet, for some reason, we were refused any additional service without any proper explanation. At around 11:20 PM (a full 40 minutes before closing), Maral approached our table and abruptly said, “You need to pay the bill.” We politely responded that we might still order more drinks and asked if we could settle up a bit later, considering we still had plenty of time. Her response? A cold and harsh “NO, YOU NEED TO PAY NOW.” The way she said it—loud, accusatory, and without any courtesy—made us feel like we were trying to dine and dash, which was incredibly insulting and disrespectful. We were long-time customers, not troublemakers, and being treated like potential thieves was both humiliating and offensive. To make matters worse, the manager tried to smooth things over by giving us some coupons, presumably to “make up” for the terrible experience and encourage us to return. Let me be absolutely clear: we will never be coming back. No discount or coupon can make up for how unwelcome and disrespected we were made to feel. This place has completely lost my trust. Hospitality and customer service are everything in this industry, and unfortunately, this restaurant failed miserably at both. I will be telling friends, family, and anyone who asks to stay far away. There are plenty of better places out there where you’re actually treated like a...
Read moreA Delightful Experience at Laymoon Restaurant and Cafe! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Laymoon Restaurant and Cafe, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. This charming spot offers a fantastic blend of delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service.
From the moment I stepped in, I was struck by the cozy and inviting ambiance. The decor is tastefully done, creating a relaxed yet elegant setting perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion. Whether you're looking for a quiet corner to enjoy a coffee or a lively spot for dinner with friends, Laymoon caters to both beautifully.
Now, let's talk about the food! The menu offers a diverse range of options, and everything I tried was prepared with care and bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed [mention a specific dish or type of cuisine, e.g., "their authentic Middle Eastern mezze platter" or "the perfectly brewed coffee and a slice of their homemade cake"]. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the presentation was impeccable. It's clear that the chefs at Laymoon take pride in their culinary creations.
The service was equally impressive. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. They made sure every detail was taken care of, contributing significantly to the overall positive experience. Big Thanks to Solmaz for being so kind.
