Iâve been meaning to check out this charming little coffee shop after seeing it all over Instagram. The aesthetic alone had me hookedâespecially their beautifully crafted drinks. The cozy vibe of the cafĂ© itself perfectly matches the visual appeal of their menu.
I didnât dive too deep into the menu since I already knew what I was there for: the double matcha. Itâs a matcha latte topped with matcha cold foam. When they serve it, they leave the lid off and recommend sipping the foam firstâand for good reason. The foam is easily the highlight: not overly sweet, but packed with a rich, bold matcha flavor. Absolutely delicious.
However, once mixed, the drink loses a lot of that depth. Even though they use high-quality matcha powder (MK!), the flavor gets a bit drowned out by the regular milk. Iâm curious if oat milk would help bring it back to life, but at $8.20 before tax for what looked like a 12 oz drink, I wasnât keen on paying extra for a milk swap. You can really see the quality in the vibrant green colorâit just doesnât fully translate into the taste once blended.
I also think a touch of vanilla syrup could round out the flavor profile nicely. They serve the drink with the lid and straw on the side, but Iâd recommend skipping the strawâfoam drinks are best enjoyed sipped straight from the cup.
As for parking, thereâs a decent amount of free street parking nearby. While itâs mostly parallel, the spots are roomy and manageable, especially if you go earlier in the day. Plus, the surrounding residential streets also allow free daytime parking, which is...
Read moreA cute and cozy coffee shop with delicious asian-inspired specialty lattes! The inside is small but clean and modern with a garden aesthetic. I came to enjoy a cup of coffee while doing some reading, and noticed that underneath the seating area, there were outlets so you could sit and do some work while at the coffee shop.
I got the Golden Butter Latte and it was really good! Subtle notes of butter with every sip and bruleeâd sugar on the top. It was very creamy, smooth and not too sweet. The temperature was just right too, the latte underneath the foam was hot enough to warm you up but not too hot that it would scald your tongue, followed by the cool milk foam sitting on top.
The lattes are on the pricier side but I think theyâre well worth it compared to the cost and low quality of drinks from coffee franchises. Iâd rather spend a few more dollars here for a tasty latte made with great care and attention đ
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the coffee shop, it was warmly lit inside and quiet which made for a great reading spot âșïž Wouldâve loved to bring my dog over but it was too wet outside for a long walk to the shop⊠Will do...
Read moreOMG what a wonderful cute little cafe at Cathedral town!! I would go back in a heart beat, since it's just a 15mins walk for me. I love my neighbourhood, and the amazing street of all these new shops. Hope they can finish up the renovations and builds soon, it will be such a perfect little stop in the summer time.
I went the to meet up with my sister, and we ordered a few things, I got the Pistachio Latte (with lactose free options, but unfortunately the Pistachio cream on top has to be made with milk, I totally took the risk, I mean I could just run home. LOL). It was So tasty, the the Pistachio cream worked so well, I do have to warn: the latte is a tat too strong for me to be honest. Could not sleep all night, however, it's totally worth it, I may just ask for a decaf version next time. Def have a returning...
