Terrible and sickening experience. Got their special burger along with 3 other burgers combo. My burger patty was red on the inside, uncooked. This was discovered after eating about 1/4 of the burger. I noticed the burger was cold on the inside then later on found out the meat was not fully cooked. I went back to the counter and questioned the staff member on this concern. Their response was, "we will make you a new burger, but we didn't know you wanted your burger fully cooked." There was no sign of apology from any staff. I was never asked "how well done do you want your burger" during ordering. I didn't know South St. Burger offered half cooked burgers unless you specifically ask for fully cooked patties. Last I checked, this was a burger establishment, not a steak house. Your team serves ground beef patties, not steak sandwiches. The new burger took another 10 mins, as there was more guest ordering, and my burger became the last priority. Overall, I'm not feeling great after the meal. I will be considering contacting York Region and Public Health...
Read moreHave always been a fan of this burger joint brand. However after my first time visit to this location I am confused if this location follows the franchise standard at all. The cashier was definitely not willing to take my money or she was just plain rude. She literally grabbed my card from my hand like I stole her credit card. I made my decision quick noticing the cashier was extremely impatient. The lady who was making my hot dog was rude as well, which wasn't much of a surprise for me at that moment. As a result the hot dog bun was cold and squishy which was just unacceptable. After finishing the food, I noticed the condiment station was not cleaned properly with ketchup and sauces spread all over, mind you it was definitely not a busy day as only one customer made his order during my 40-minute stay there. Yet nobody came out to clean the station. Overall it was one of my worst dining experiences, and I cannot figure out how do they manage to turn a nice burger joint into a place that a loyal customer will...
Read moreThis used to be our go-to burger place after our morning workout session. I found the quality of the burger has been deteriorating. Today my boy friend and I ordered two burger combos. The beef patty was small and dry. When we tried to select the free toppings, we were told that most items are not available. Only whatever we could see from the counter is available. I couldn’t get my favorite toppings - roasted red peppers, guacamole. This is 2pm in the afternoon on a Saturday and I couldn’t believe they would have been sold out for the day. I feel that the place is trying to reduce cost. Also the workers are some junior teenagers who didn’t really have customer service skills. They wanted to do the easy job by suggesting standard burger toppings. When we wanted to start ordering the specific toppings, they didn’t look at us to acknowledge our ask. Not a pleasant experience. I doubted if I would...
