We made a brunch reservation to celebrate our son and future daughter-in-law engagement. We advised them of the special occasion when making the reservation and the waitress at the table. There were nine of us and the bill was just over $300.00 with NO alcohol, but 6 desserts.
FOOD ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️- was nothing special, not bad but truly not special. Nobody said “ Hey you gotta try this! “ and will we return? - probably not!
SERVICE ⭐️⭐️ - again nothing special but failed to deliver X3
Two families meeting for the first time on a special day, on Family Day and nobody would eat until the last 2 meals made it to the table, approx 5 minutes late
6 desserts later and no complimentary dessert for the engaged couple. Wasn’t like I couldn’t afford it, a sparkler, chocolate sauce saying congratulations, anything/something? Come on people it’s in your name MILESTONES❗️That’s why my son chose the restaurant in the first place, I wanted the Spaghetti Factory.
After the meal we occupied the table for another 30 minutes. At some point we paid the bill and tipped generously. TIC-TOCK, TIC-TOCK, nobody came to refresh any of the coffees. As a matter of fact some of the cups were removed with the plates. The restaurant was NOT even remotely busy - THANKS FOR COMING, COME AGAIN WHEN YOU CANT STAY AS LONG⁉️
PARKING ⭐️⭐️- Today was fine, but don’t go on a big movie night❗️How can you invite us to downtown Markham and have NO PARKING - Don’t say I didn’t warn you
PRICE/VALUE ⭐️⭐️- NOT worth it. There are other options in and around the complex. If you have to go and be disappointed get the Show Stopper for dessert. It was so good and got past around the table. When it got back to me there was hardly anything left - something else to be disappointed about.
🤬 REMEMBER don’t try and park on a big movie release night. - Ya, I’m jaded about the lack off parking, I got a $40.00 ticket watching...
Read moreWe went there on Easter Friday - we were trying to catch a 3 p.m. movie and since it was only 1, after we purchased our tickets, we decided to come here for lunch so that we could wait comfortably since we still had "ample" time before the movie started.
The waiting area was empty when we went in, no staff was in sight. We also noticed the restaurant was literally empty. After a good couple of minutes, somebody inside in the restaurant finally spotted us. We were asked about the size of the party and told us to wait as they would get our table ready (???). So we waited for another 3 or 4 minutes before we got seated.
The waitress came by and took our order. She seemed quite friendly and chatty. But the food didn't come until almost 20 minutes later. The food quality was average (we did not expect much from a chain restaurant). By around 2:30, we decided to get our bills so that we could catch our show at the movie theatre right above the restaurant.
It was so difficult to spot our waitress and told us that we wanted to our bill. It took us all the way till 2:55 before we could pay and leave. By the time we reached the theatre, it was so packed that we could not find any seats that allowed us to sit together. So we had to talk to the customer service from the cinema to allow us to move our tickets to the next show time at 5:30.
Frankly, I would never expect not being able to finish a simple lunch (each of us just order sandwiches or salads and a couple of kids meals) in two hours. Milestone's snail pace service is definitely not acceptable, especially in...
Read moreWent for a birthday dinner. Hadn’t been back to this Milestones since the first time we came over 5 years ago. Now I know why.
This time, not only was the service mediocre, but the food was sub par. Some of our food was okay, like the apps, but the mains nothing to rave about, and some of us ordered wings, and both orders were not cooked properly- still red and pink inside. I picked open a few to see the colour, and we really couldn’t eat it. It took us literally 10mins to get a hold of our waiter. When we did, both plates had 4/8 wings not touched- we asked him to have them cooked more because it was red inside, he took it back, then after what felt like 10 mins, we get it back refried and on new plates. (Not that we were expecting anything to be offered, but not even the manager came over to check in on us or apologize for the uncooked meal- chicken too).
The waiter although nice, looked overwhelmed and didn’t check in on us, didn’t refill our water bottles, didn’t refill our soft drinks, basically didn’t check in on us at all. If we needed something we had to flag him down.
The area they seated us was like a dead zone. No monitors/tvs to look at just grey walls.
The atmosphere was meh and for a birthday dinner, wasn’t the most pleasant environment to be in.
Our company still had fun despite the disappointing experience at this Milestones.
Don’t think we will return to this...
