Tandoori Junction Markham — Restaurant in Markham

Lip smacking food served by some unhappy people. Unfortunately that starts reflecting on the food as well. This place used to be King Tandoori. The guy at the counter was super attentive. Recommending great menu options. We came back after months to this place. Food is still amazing but the ladies serving us seemed unhappy,particularly the fair shorter one. We kept standing waiting for them to clean the tables. 4 empty tables but all were dirty. They kept looking at each other. Each waiting for the other to come and clean. Then one lady, the lightly polite one comes and rubs a dirty cloth on the food crumbs that were on the table. It was like mashing the wash clothes with that food. I asked for tissues. Cleaned it on my own. So you see bring your own cleaning stuff before you visit. Then comes to our order. We ordered. I went to the rest room. Came back. After almost 10 mins, I politely check on my food. The lady who is visibly frustrated with the workload rudely responds, you just ordered. Atleast just wait. I understand, good food takes times but I wasn't badgering her to bring my food. All I did was politely ask her. She could have said that it will take another 10-20-30 mins. Anyways, that only spoke of her state of mind. The food is not something I can complain about.. Tandoori Chicken Momos are to die for... Samosa was good. We get better at the Panchwati right opposite. Amritsari naan and daal makhni was quite good with that special paani. But am I visiting again. I doubt. Because service and hygiene matter. And then people wonder why they weren't tipped. 🙂

I recently visited tandoori junction ,an authentic Indian restaurant located in [Markham], and I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience.

From the moment I stepped inside, the warm ambiance and vibrant décor immediately set the tone. The lighting was just right, and the Indian-inspired artwork and music enhanced the atmosphere, making it feel like a mini escape to India.

The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, from classic favorites like butter chicken, biryani, and samosas, to lesser-known regional specialties. The naan was freshly baked, soft on the inside with a slight crisp on the outside.

The server - Gurleen was very attentive and friendly . Our server was knowledgeable and took the time to explain certain dishes when we had questions. The food came out hot and timely, and we never felt rushed.

What stood out the most was the quality of the ingredients—everything felt fresh, and it was clear that a lot of care went into preparing each dish. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were fair considering the high quality of the meal.
