I recently visited there with my family and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We were unaware of the restaurant's policy regarding outside food, and when we brought some snacks for our hungry child, the staff's attitude was extremely unwelcoming and unpleasant.

As parents, our main concern was to ensure our child's comfort and well-being, especially when they were feeling hungry. We understand that some establishments have policies against bringing outside food, but the lack of empathy and understanding from the staff was disheartening.

Customer service is a crucial aspect of any dining experience, and unfortunately, the attitude we encountered was far from satisfactory. It is essential for restaurant staff to handle such situations with professionalism and courtesy, especially when dealing with families and children.

We believe that a more understanding approach would have been appropriate, such as politely informing us about the policy and offering alternative options to address our child's hunger. Such an approach would have left us with a better impression of the restaurant, even if we couldn't bring our own snacks.

We hope that the management takes this feedback constructively and emphasizes the importance of customer service and creating a welcoming environment. Ultimately, it is the customers' experiences that shape their perception of a restaurant, and unfortunately, ours was marred by the unfriendly attitude we encountered.

Overall, we were disappointed with the unwelcoming attitude displayed by the staff when we brought outside food. We hope that our feedback helps the restaurant improve its customer service and ensure a more positive experience for...

First off very rude customer services. I first spoke in English. Then because they didn’t speak fluent English I switched to Cantonese and even Mandarin to accommodate their language barriers. There was no one ounce of any friendly greeting nor smile. It’s more like “eat and get out” kind of attitude. Was also given cut-eyes and ignorance when asked general questions regarding their products and wait times. Only asked two questions.

Second, desserts ordered were just horrible. In short, like water and can syrup dumped into one bowl and served. No depth in terms of tastes and texture were bland. Ordered walnut paste dessert 核桃糊 and another coconut sago 椰汁西米露 dessert. Walnut paste was with diluted based and the paste was definitely not paste. Similar to water and crushed bits of walnuts brought to room temperature to serve while I ordered hot. It was somewhat cool.

When service is rude, food were not even close to delicious, i definitely won’t come back nor support them. I usually don’t say and do this but if I were to recommend: go with YuanMingYuan desserts near midland and finch at Scarborough. Although their services aren’t the best, but their menu and products back up them at the very least. Most desserts there have depth and authentic flavors of Asian desserts. Their price was also reasonable considering authentic flavors.

However, I still paid tips regardless of this stores horrible service and lower standard desserts at and moved on. No photos because didn’t bother. Not even...

I would come regularly but encountered an unfortunate situation today and don’t think I’ll be going anymore. We noticed two tables that came later than us had their order come in and asked about our order, it was nearly half an hour since we placed our order with the waitress. The staff ask us what we ordered and if we even ordered, that’s already suspicious. Shouldn’t that be something they have down? Since I’m a regular, I was pretty familiar with how they gave us our plates and utensils after putting down our order. They didn’t do that until we asked them to follow up on our order which was another red flag.

I’m pretty sure they forgot our order. That’s fine, things happen and it’s busy, but I would’ve appreciated an apology or transparency. Instead they decided to gaslight us and say they already put our order down, saying “you know you have to wait”. We know that, but people that came later than us got their order. The funny thing is they still kept asking us what we ordered when that’s something they should’ve gotten. I usually give grace to service staff since it’s a tough job, but the lack of maturity in this situation was...

2023 April 3.5★ A small dessert establishment that has 9 round tables with 4 round stools that seat about 36 tightly. Though not all tables always have 4 people, so it's cozy. Fairly busy on weekends with a wide variety of desserts. They have a few cooked food snack options available. Sticky Rice with coconut $5.99 Not bad. Looks very decent. Ok. Herbal Jelly $7.29 Not very dense, smooth texture. Popcorn salmon $9.29 Cooked perfectly, interesting salmon version, but not bad. Mango & Pomelo tapioca $8.49 A bit too thick. Too much tapioca versus Mango. Would pass next time. Sweet Sesame Thick soup $5.99 Thought this was very good. Perfectly sweet. Though small quantity. Good overall. Certain items are better than others.

Although it was late at night, the place was packed full. We came for the first time craving some desserts and we loved all the items we got. The mango pomelo sago with rice balls wasn’t too sweet and had many pieces of fresh mango. We also got two of the Hong Kong style shaved ice, one with the milk tea base and the other with the matcha base. Both were refreshing and came with a choice of three toppings. They were very generous with the toppings, and the red bean was “real” red bean rather than just a paste. The cheung fun (rice rolls) and the popcorn chicken were also very delicious. Before leaving, we ordered the mango sago drink with grass jelly to go because we saw many others ordering it, and it was so good.

Tracy Dessert in Markham is a cozy spot for a post-dinner dessert session. Open until late, it’s perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth after a meal. The place is small and simple, and everything tastes mild on the sweetness and you don’t feel extreme sweetness in the desserts, and they do offer a variety of Asian desserts featuring fresh fruits. We tried the Mango & Pomelo with Sago, Tofu Dessert with Sweet Sticky Rice and Diced Mango, and their Mixed Fresh Fruit Juice. The flavors were fresh and enjoyable. One thing to note is that if you visit close to closing time, the staff might feel a bit rushed as they’re eager to wrap up quickly. It’s best to arrive earlier to enjoy a more relaxed experience.
