So excited to check out Yuzu No Ki Patisserie & Cafe, the newest hidden gem in J-Town! It is the last shop at the very end of the strip, right next to Sasaki Fine Pastry. Only been opened for a month or so, Yuzu No Ki has already caused a huge local buzz before social media caught on lol. Be prepared to line up outside, and just a heads-up, items do sell out fast, so go early if you can!
There are sweet and savoury items avaliable. Row on rows of mini desserts, quiches, buttery scones, and many specialty baked goods. I can't wait to go back and try some more! Here are some of the ones I've had:
Choux Croquant ($4) Super crunchy outer layer and filled with fresh vanilla bean cream on the spot #takemymoney Flavour changes daily People literally just come in to buy this popular item!
Chocolatte ($6) An eclair made with vanilla bean pastry cream, and 60% Belgium chocolate fondant The soft version of the choux, like a cream puff, just as tasty!
Lavender Scone ($3.75) Recommended by the staff, love the lemon and not-over-powering floral lavender taste! There are also earl grey, and pizza flavours!
Violetta ($7.50) Purple sweet potato cream, with candied purple sweet potato cubes in frangipane tart if you love purple sweet potato, this one is definitely for you it reminds me of the chestnut flavoured desserts ^^
Nicholas ($7.00) Caramel + chocolate ganache, with Belgium cinnamon cookie tart shell cinnamon was the magic word for me! this tart can get a little messy when you're eating it lol.
Lumiere ($7.25) Blueberry confiture, blueberry yogurt mousse, cheese mousse, milk glacage, streusel cookies flavours go well together, taste like a smooth cheesecake some might find it a little on...

Edit: May 4/25
I am a regular here but today’s visit was a disappointment. I ordered a strawberry shortcake, a black sesame cake, and two Earl Grey lattes. However, there were several problems with both the drinks and the pastries: Upon receiving my drinks, I noticed that one of the Earl Grey lattes had visible sediments while the other did not. I returned to the counter and brought this to the attention of the staff member who served me. She offered to remake the drinks, to which I agreed. However, instead of making new drinks, she simply asked if I would prefer hot drinks instead of cold ones. This gave me the impression that she did not want to go through the trouble of remaking the drinks as initially promised. When I arrived home and opened the pastry box, I discovered that I had received two strawberry shortcakes instead of one strawberry shortcake and one black sesame cake as ordered. These mistakes significantly impacted my experience, as it seemed there was a lack of attention to detail and a disregard for...

2022 March 4.5★ Located inside J-Town, you'll find this bakery/dessert shop only recently opened within the last year. At the time of writing, they have announced their first year of business. A quaint store with a good variety of options with a Japanese flair. For those who wish to dine in, there's a few tables enough for about 12-15 people. Hojicha Roll Cake - $6.75 per slice. A light and fluffy cake with a very good Hojicha flavor (more intense than some other places). Rolled inside, you'll find pieces of Mochi and red bean (azuki beans) in a creme. Nothing is too sweet, and everything complements each other well. Mango mini cake - $7 Made with lots of chopped mangos and a glaze of apricot, this has a nice sweet and hint of tangy flavor. Very good, but the tart could be a little thinner given it's a hard shell.
Overall, a nice place to visit and relax. Would recommend and try again for...
