The Moon Cafe — Restaurant in Mattawa

I liked this cafe. It appears to be a home converted to a cafe. Service was prompt and polite. My son had pizza which wasn't on the menu as with the nachos. They're open at 11 so no breakfast menu, only lunch and dinner. They serve alcohol but again not on the one page menu, they're posted on a chalkboard which doubles as a cash and bar area. Highly recommend! We were looking for breakfast as we were on our way to camp in Kiosk for a few days. We just happened to drive down the main drag of Mattawa and our attention was caught by the Moon Cafe's open doors with music wafting through. How could we not stop?? Stopped in on our way home from North Bay to Ottawa. The restaurant was super quaint - decorated just enough, not overdone. It was neat and tidy. The hostess/waitress was lovely. Menu selection was good. Meals were great tasting, made with fresh ingredients. I had a peak at what other people were ordering around us, everything looked very enticing. Beer was ice-cold! 😊. Loved everything....
